I call in few days ago to place order for 2 case of wine and told them I am coming to pick them up today. I came all the way from Delta to North Vancouver and eventually they told me the one who took the order forgot to place the order for me.

Great place to pick up a bottle of wine! Staff: This is probably my favourite aspect of the shop. Every time that I have stopped by to pick up a bottle, the staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. When they are not assisting anyone at the till, they are walking around the shop. They are great on providing recommendations, and showing you around the shop. Selection: They have a nice selection of wines. They carry a lot of local wines, but also have international ones. Price: You really can’t beat the value in this shop! They literally have sections divided for Wines under $ 10, $ 15, and above $ 20. So pleasing for any budget.(By the way, the under $ 10 wines are not crap. They are pretty good!) Definitely my favourite place in North Van to pick up a bottle of wine!

Last time I was up in North Vancouver with my partner, he decided he wanted to make some clam chowder. Well, I could think of nothing better to go with his wonderful clam chowder than a nice, yet inexpensive bottle of white wine. I noticed the Artisan Wine Shop and headed in to find that perfect bottle of wine. They have a large selection of expensive and inexpensive wines. I noticed a buy two get one dollar off sign. The white wines were only $ 8.99 and the red wine was only $ 9.99(with one dollar off making it $ 8.99). So, I got a bottle of white FortyNine North and a red FortyNine North. So far, we have only drank the white. It was a good wine with a floral note. The red is suppose to have a berry and spice flavor. We will see soon. =) And as always,. Have Fun!!!

Friendly staff, great recommendations, and lots of opportunities to taste! I’ve had wonderful experiences stopping in without knowing what I was looking for and coming home with something amazing. On one particular occasion, I was looking for a rose to serve with a specific dish and the clerk deterred me from purchasing the bottle I thought I wanted to suggest a cheaper wine; she was 100% right and the less-pricey bottle went perfectly with the food.

At Artisan Wine Shop you’ll find lots of local wine and you can even get some bottles for under $ 10. If you want to taste before you buy, check out what they are pouring at the tasting bar. It’s as close as you can get to visiting a winery without driving out of the city.

I have to agree that this is the cadillac of wine shops, but hipper. Maybe it’s more like the mini convertible of wine shops. Anyway, what this store carries tends to be high-ish end, with an emphasis on local wineries and other exclusive wines from farther afield. If you are looking for something exclusive, organic or just something for a special event, this is a great place to spend your wine dollars. The staff here is very knowledgeable, and there are frequent tastings available. Ooooh, just don’t go overboard on the tastings!

The cadillac of wine shops, Artisan Wine’s offers up exclusive bottles such as Rigmarole from the Okanogan Valley with friendly service and free tastings if you so desire. Artisan also carries wine-related gifts and accessories from professional openers to label removers. A very lovely shop for the wine lovers in your life!
