Well, I’m not sure if this review is targeted toward«The Vitamin Farm», or «Supreme Health Natural Foods». You see, they’re kind of part-and-parcel… the same thing. Well, at least they share the same little corner of City Center Mall. Throughout all the years I’ve lived in Edmonton(there have been many years), Supreme Health Natural Foods(and The Vitamin Farm) have been a «go-to» for me. A saviour when I’m not feeling up to the bus ride over to that«other» organic foods store on the western part of Jasper avenue. In particular, I’ve been impressed by the employees. On on occasion, I was looking for a particular sprouted bread. They didn’t have it in-stock, but they were more than happy to order it in for me. On another occasion, I was looking for loose-leaf Yerba Mate. They didn’t carry it, but once again they were more than happy to order it in for me(and call me when it arrived!). Finally, they’ve started to carry Kombucha drinks in their refrigerated beverage section, which(for me) is an instant +10000 points. Thanks, Supreme, for offering real, whole, organic food to those of us of on 100th street & Jasper Avenue.

This is a pretty small health food store that’s attached to another store called The Vitamin Farm. I find this store rather convenient, because it has many of the basic health foods that you can’t get anywhere else in the close vicinity. They have a whole freezer full of gluten-free foods, like breads, TV dinners, and burritos. Most of these are made by a company called Glutino. They also sell many other gluten-free items, like cookies, pasta, and breakfast bars. My favourite item here is probably the lime-flavoured rice chips. These are so good and addictive. They also sell lots of organic foods like cereals, soups(Amy’s), dried cranberries, and chocolate. In the fridge you can find nut butters, natural juices and pops, and even free-range eggs! The prices here are pretty expensive for most things, so I only come here, when I really need something and can’t make it somewhere else. You can actually find gluten-free pasta at the Shoppers Drug Mart across the way for much cheaper.
