A heavily edited Woolworths for most of your grab-and-go needs. After spending a nice week eating oranges and mandarins off trees, my little Thor was super stoked to find them just as easily here. Hot food, cold food, shelf food, and a few odds and ends for your commuter/traveling needs. I was saddened by the short selection of magazines, but it’s understandable given the limited space.

Woolies and a convenience store, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First came love, then came marriage, then came… this shop on the corner! This small new Woolies has taken over the old CommBank site, filling it with aisles of snacks, convenience foods and ready-to-eat goods. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it — not as big or well stocked as a supermarket, not as exxy and poorly stocked as a convenience store, it’s perfect for busy workers rushing to or from work and in need of a grab-and-go meal. There’s even a café onsite selling the cheapest coffee and cakes in Surry — $ 3 brownies, say whaaaaat? I’m yet to try the coffee here yet but boy has it been handy when I’ve been running to/from Central and needed to pick up a bag of washed spinach, a tub of yoghurt, a pack of bikkies or a bit of fresh fruit. It opens til late, heck it may even be open 24/7* — say whaaaaat? *don’t quote me on that #wishfulthinking, but I’ll check next time I swing by
