I come here a lot and there’s a reason for it. The servings are huge and prices absolutely reasonable. There’s a muffin and coffee deal for $ 5.50 and burgers with chips and lemonade for $ 15 so big that I’ve seen tough blokes struggling to finish them.
The staff are super friendly and give their honest opinion about the food and make some great recommendations. Coffees are lovely just like everything else. Do yourself a favour and go here.

Been walking past Tripod many times over the past few weeks.
After meeting a new friend today, Tripod popped into mind as where to have a nice chill coffee date. Seemed like a decent relaxing café and I’ve been checking it out on Unilocal earlier that week ;)
So I was pretty confident in getting something decent here.
So we had an iced coffee, iced mocha and chatted over a bowl of beer battered fries. Too good.
I am probably addicted to fries (I mean… who isn’t…haha)
Very friendly waiter, very chatty. Iced coffee was served with a big scoop of ice cream :)
Anyways, pleased that Unilocal brought me here and looking forward to revisiting soon :)

Food was not bad but the coffee was a total miss.
I had heard about this place, and it looked nice so I stopped for breakfast.
I had the corn and avocado salsa with a boiled egg. It was pretty decent but had a hell of a lot of a Parmesan on top, which kinda took away from it. One of my favourite breakfasts is a similar dish from a place in Melbourne — they use Parmesan too but … This missed the mark for me.
It was still tasty, and if someone invited me, I’d go back. I’d probably have a coffee before hand though :/

Hands down one the best burgers I’ve ever had! You might think if I’ve had one burger, I’ve had them all. I had the bacon burger which, on paper, seemed fairly basic but the type of bun, bacon, and the sauce they used took it up 10 notches!!! Definitely worth the stop!

This was a great find thanks to Unilocal.
I was staying in an apartment off airbnb here for a week, I ended up coming to Tripod every day. Had their lunch box special take away, but also had breakfast every other day. Decent Bacon Egg burger, really tasty muesli and final day I had the Chorizo baked eggs which was so spectacular.
Lots of fresh muffins etc too which were good. Coffee was also good. Picillo wasn’t perfect, but flat whites were good and consistent.

Lovely little lunch and breakfast spot with quirky décor, good music, and a very friendly staff. Food is solid, and good value. It also has a back garden. Tripod manages to be hip without getting completely up itself, and that can be a rare thing in the coffee scene.

This place is great. It does both breakfast and lunch with the breakfast offered all day.
The meals are a generous size and start from about $ 10.
They also offer coffee, tea and fresh juice and the service is friendly and reasonably prompt.
It indoor and outdoor seating which includes a cool beer garden style area out the back.
If you’re in the area and considering a café (and there are a number in the area) this should be high on your list.

This café is just lovely. The waitress/​barista was bright and chirpy, accommodating our desire for breakfast a bit later than they normally have it. I had corn fritters — they were huge and stuffed with corn and delicious avocado salsa. The coffee was giant and lovely, didn’t get to try the cold drip, but definitely next time.
They also let us sit and chat for hours, which I really appreciated.

I always used to go here before I moved to the US. I loved the pasta special with chicken and their fresh juice is delicious. My favourite café in Sydney. Check it out!
