The Restaurant is over priced, average food, looked and tasted bland. First course came out incorrect, service bit awkward, staff seemed bit uptight and flustered. Italian cake was delish! Mud cake was very good and moist, tiramisu and crème brûlée average. Furniture quite large and spacious, making it very good for corporate dining. Décor bit confused, modern with old artwork.

Very good pizza. We ordered one with pineapple just to piss off our Italian friend. Very close to those we’ve enjoyed in Italy.

I’ve had mixed dining experiences at Millioncino. They’re usually our go-to quick dinner before any events at Perth Arena, and for good reason — they’re just at the top of the hill on Murray St(a short walk down to the Arena). The food is good, the wine is good(when they decide to serve you a bottle cold — last nights came warm in an ice bucket), but the service is so hit and miss. We’ve had awesome nights of service and then last night was not their best. Definitely one to check out if you want a quick bite of Italian before any of the shows at Perth Arena, but not a place I would recommend on a date night due to the hit and miss service.

I’ve been in this place for the second time as I think in general we need a second chance to judge better. The décor was modern and with beautiful red cherry wood furniture(I love cherry), but I didn’t like the ceiling. The chairs were comfortable but pretty spartan. I visited the toiled and it was clean and spotless. Waiters didn’t talk much with strangers unless they knew they were Italian, some linguist barriers maybe, but they appeared polite and respectful. I would had appreciated if they were a little more cheerful and welcoming, in my mind an Italian Restaurant is joyful and noisy, I didn’t hear much Italian music as well, just american oldies. The first course was a tomato bruschetta… fresh and smooth, the bread seemed home made and the oil was extra virgin. I ordered a pizza Lampedusa with seafood. Simple and delicious, with the right amount of toppings. On the top there was tomato, mozzarella cheese, mussels, clams, shrimps and calamari. I finished it in just 5 minutes. Overall an enjoyable dish. Enough to understand that I would visit it again maybe to taste something else and I recommended that place to my colleagues in Perth. Really Italian indeed but my impression is still missing something to become popular as there were only Italians customers(included me) on that day. Maybe the menu is still too traditionalist but I wish to check it out next time. Price are a little bit over especially for drinks(I spent around 54 dollars for bruschetta, pizza and a glass of white wine).
