Food is not fresh, food is of low quality, and extremely over priced. Coffee is bland and almost never made right. Dome was one of the café chains that originally pioneered the cafes in Perth but now they are a former shadow of a quality café.

Solid breakfast spot with excellent bacon on the side. I had a nice cheat meal here to help myself feel more human after my brief stint at Royal Perth Hospital. Service and food were both a notch above par.

I agree wholeheartedly with Liberty H. This Dome is just like all other Domes. But then not. Something special about it: Not too fussy or fancy. Excellent high ceilings. Cool AC and plenty of space. Seating which feels private and unexposed and lots of papers and magazines. Its like a homely Dome: An igloo if you will. But not made of ice.

Ok so I usually don’t like writing about franchises, its almost like if you been to one, you have been to them all. BUT in this case it is different. This Dome is my favourite, because it almost doesn’t seem like a Dome. Without sounding like a complete fool, it just has a different vibe, like a locally owned individual feel. It is hidden away a bit, although easy to find because of all the signs along Hay street. The inside is decorated in the same way as all the other Domes, which is actually really nice. A lot of wood, old style couches, a big globe on the ceiling and booths. It’s the outside that makes me like this Dome in particular. It has a lot of chairs outside on the veranda, balcony type thing, it is a really nice place to sit and have a good cup of coffee, when you are out on the terrace it really does feel like quiet little coffee shop. I like Dome in general however, they have all day breakfast, so really whats not to like? They have a really good menu, full of light snacks, meals, cakes, biscuits and a LOT of drinks. It isn’t too expensive compared to some coffee shops. Dome is my coffee shop of choice but the city store is definatly my favourite of them all. I think if you check it out, you’ll agree.
