Small cocktail bar in newtown. It is a great casual location to go to and has one of my favourite vodka mixers«Fresh Apple Vodka». Came here on a pub golf crawl, got a gin and tonic which was great and the bar staff were very friendly let me know about what goes on the weeknights. They do Live music Tues — Thurs and a happy hour between 5 – 7 $ 5 beers.

Very cute spot with just enough grunge to make it perfectly Newtown-esque. Lovely(though small!) rooftop beer garden. Very good cocktails — strong, expertly made, with a minimum of fuss(don’t miss happy hour!). Loved the«chips» — huge chunks of roast potato and sweet potato with aioli — didn’t need dinner after those!

Such a cute place. Love the balcony upstarts too. Guys behind the bar really know how to make a good cocktails. Came here for a happy hour 5−7pm and paid $ 10 for great tasty cocktail. They also have good wines an beers and some funky music. If you in Newtown definitely come and check out this place. I love it.

Anyone with a passing interest in English football will be familiar with the phrase«the corridor of uncertainty.» Beautifully nebulous, it refers roughly to a narrow strip of the pitch between six-yard box and penalty spot, where if the ball is delivered with the right pace and power, any nod of the head will often result in the ball nestling home. Now, to tenuously link this back to the review(*cracks knuckles*): Corridor is a narrow strip of a bar, where if you deliver yourself in the right frame of mind and wallet, a little nod to the barman and you can nestle yourself right at home. Nailed it(?) It is a really welcoming little spot, with a proper saloon feeling to it downstairs — all nooks, crannies and bourbons — and an outside area upstairs which I am sure will be a god-send in the summer months. The cocktails look fantastic, though I must admit I wasn’t drinking as I have a medical trial shortly. Cheers, medical science. Once I’m suitably-lubricated, there’s every chance that this will turn into a five-star review. That said, if the star rating drops, you can blame hideous brain trauma.

I wanted to try this place because their southern inspired menu looked amazing. The onion rings with blue cheese sauce were to die for and the cornbread with various toppings was also great value for money. I was less impressed with the cocktails though. The mint julep was good — it’s pretty hard to get wrong but the others were a bit too weird and wacky for me. Stick with the classics. Although, they all had a decent amount of alcohol in them — they were pretty lethal! They obviously call this place Corridor for a reason. It’s super tiny. If there were people sitting at the bar there literally would not be room for you to stand there and order a drink. This place is okay when it’s quiet… but even then you’re forever accidentally bumping into people and constantly exchanging awakawrd ‘sorry’s’.

I love Corridor, and I’ve been going there for ages! More recently, this little undiscovered secret in Newtown has been really discovered, which means having to walk away because of no tables available! I recently went back to Corridor after they did a complete menu overhaul. They now offer a complete Creole menu! I had the grazing plate, with cornbread, blackened chicken, prawns, sweet potato etc. Overall it was pretty excellent, although the cornbread could have been better. I have to admit… I miss their Turkish mezze platter. That used to be my favorite! On the down side, it was packed! Corridor’s seating policy is pretty relaxed, so you would have a couple sitting at a table for four, or a group of six huddled around a table for two. As a group of four, we had a tough time finding a decent sized table. I’m definitely going back again to get more Creole food. Staff is nice and helpful, wine is delicious, and one could get drunk on the atmosphere alone.

This was my go to bar Tuesday-Thursday for live music for the 8 months I lived in Sydney. They have artist residencies with great tunes while you drink a delicious cocktails. They also have great food and a lovely balcony for some fresh air. Quaint and almost most hidden on King Street, it’s the perfect location. I am missing this unique cocktail bar now that I’m back overseas.

Don’t tell anyone about the gorgeous little balcony upstairs! Oops. Ah, I think the secret was already out. I only just discovered this little upstairs outdoor hideaway — but it seems everyone already knew. Corridor is a skinny little small-bar with a street front seat — you can do some serious people watching on King Street. Even better, you can sneak up the steps and sit outside, out the back, on the aforementioned lovely balcony. The atmosphere is chilled out and the wine servings are large. They have live jazz & blues here(which can get pretty loud, in such a small space), and there is plenty of tapas-like food on the menu. Very relaxed on weeknights(but still popular — not too dead), and rather busy on weekends, particularly on account of their happy hour offerings.

Tiny, atmospheric bar — cocktail quality can be a bit hit and miss. Good place for a pre-dinner drink

Corridor is great for a change up if you don’t want crappy jukebox music and TV’s blaring at you from all angles. Nice craft beer on tap. Great cocktails. Me and the girl are regulars at the happy hour — $ 10 cocktails = awesome.

Very cool little bar set in a narrow two story terrace that lives up to its namesake. Great Cocktails(especially during $ 10 Happy Hour 5−7pm I think) and nice selection of wines and beers. Good tapas/snack options if you can get a table and plan on keeping it. Always packed and for good reason!

Groovy King St bar — modern and grungy here you can sit and enjoy a few drinks with mates and be bound to bump into someone you know from the local scene it is definitely one of those places. It has got a reputation as a place to be scene and attracts an interesting and happening crowd. It is very narrow so you’d want to not get claustrophobic and perhaps not be in too big a group. There is an outdoor area upstairs which could possibly accommodate a few more people. On the menu there are beers, wine, cocktails and some light snacks like tapas and share plates. It’d be good for a entertainment industry meet and greet.

Corridor is exactly what it says on the tin, a corridor. Great if you like to get up close and personal with every Tom, Dick or Sally loitering around these parts, but very bad for those who savour their personal space. In light of this, I probably wouldn’t recommend this spot for supper. Although the menu is good the service is pretty slow and disorganised, and you’ll barely be able to hold a conversation over the noise and general jostling. To drink though, Corridor is a lot of fun. The cocktails are fairly good, and ever so slightly cheaper than its neighbouring cocktail bar Kuletos, and if you’ve got a big enough crowd with you, you can easily dominate the place. Always fun!

Corridor is a small, narrow bar set between Magnation and New Taste, easy to miss if not paying the full attention it deserves. The space, layout and setting work harmoniously together(like beer and my mouth) and is not unlike, uh, a corridor. Corridor offers a couple of boutique beers on tap including White Rabbit Dark Ale and Little Creatures Pale Ale. If you find yourself in unfamiliar territory like I did(blasphemy I know, as I too consider myself a beer connoisseur), then de-stress because the bar attendants are here to assist you. There is also a devilishly tempting cocktail list, something I am yet, but willing and able to try. And after reading Lydia A’s review, I am definitely in need of pairing my next beer with a side of food. The interior is intimate, relaxed and inviting. Quirky, miss-matched chairs are set in a comfortable atmosphere and surrounded by art. The place oozes creativity and I always leave feeling a little more artistic than on the way in. The upstairs balcony is also a great place to relax, afternoon or night, and has more room to move than the bar downstairs. Best of all, the service is always genuine and friendly and if you are here for a few afternoon cheekies like I usually am, then it is likely you will be on first name basis with the bar attendants before you leave.

This is one of the best bars in Sydney, and goes to show that good things really do come in small packages. It’s tiny! The bar takes up the whole of the front room, with just enough space to squeeze past the people bulk-ordering the happy hour cocktails(5−7pm). If you go upstairs, they have a wonderful open-air balcony with plenty of benches and tables with comfortable cushions and fairy lights strung up from the walls. There’s nothing nicer than coming here after work and enjoying a drink with friends. The cocktails are wonderful — especially The Bramble, and the watermelon mojitos. For the beer lovers, they have proper traditional English pints glasses with a handle. I love how quaint and arty Corridor is — you meet all sorts of interesting people here. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgabe, and if, like me, you often can’t decide what to order, they’re more than happy to mix you up a surprise. One of the most surprising but great features of this bar is the food. I thought that considering it’s cramped quarters, the kitchen would have been under pressure just to produce bowls of chips. How wrong I am! The food here is amazing — I highly recommend ordering a whole load of different things to share. The polenta and parmesan wedges with rocket dip are delicious, and the sharing mezza platter(for 2) is enormous and packed with delicious things like sundried tomatoes, feta, mussles, calamari, courgettes and pickles. Served with some freshly toasted turkish bread and a range of dips, this makes the ultimate light snack. I love Corridor and will definitely be back.

Corridor is a relatively new addition to King Street’s drinking establishments. It’s a funky bar as narrow as a… corridor. The appeal is awesome cocktails and dim lighting and the chance to squeeze past people while trying to find a seat. Upstairs there are a few more seats and the compulsory open-air smoking area. There is also a small room which may have been someone’s lounge room at some point which now is used for gigs. I saw an event of the Sydney Comedy Festival here, and it is intimate, if nothing else. Once you are in there is no getting out, so go to the toilet and get drinks before your chair is locked into an inescapable arrangement. Corridor is a great place to go if meeting just one friend. Any more people and things are getting crowded, or you may not find a seat. It’s enticing enough to want to try anyway though.

This is maybe the smallest small bar in the world! When you see how tiny this place is the name is self-explanatory. It’s great, a teensy little laid-back haven from the King St maggots outside. Set in a refurbished Newtown terrace, the focus is on jazz & blues here– with live music Tuesday and Thursdays, a jazz & blues DJ Friday nights and a lovely outdoor deck upstairs to enjoy it all from. There is also a theatre upstairs that has been used as a venue for comedy, plays and such. They offer a decent wine list and the only shame about this bar is that it isn’t open later. I’d love somewhere like this to chill and wind down after gigs…

There’s not a lot I don’t love about this little bar. I first went with a couple friends on a Wednesday evening and found a comfy seat in the upstairs lounge. The ambiance is intimate and quirky, accented by the graffiti-style wall art, mismatched furniture and low lighting. We snagged a seat on the leather sofa and cuddled up as the rain feel on outside Newtown. The meze platter was a hit with a parade of dips, olives, meats and a seemingly endless pile of toasted Turkish bread. As the night went on and we drained a delicious bottle and a half of Cab Sav, a band of three musicians positioned themselves nearby and started playing a whimsical little bluegrass tune. Wearing overalls and aloof smiles(ok, maybe they weren’t ALL wearing overalls), they serenaded us in true Southern style for the next 45 minutes on banjo, harmonica and guitar. Ever since that first night, I think of Corridor as my secret little Sydney escape.
