Some friends took us here and described it as ‘dirty chinese’… Don’t let that put you off though! If you’re after no frills, good tasty Chinese food this is the place to go. They have a huge variety of dishes and plenty of vego options too. We ordered stir fry veggies with a soy bean paste sauce(amazing), veggie stir fry noodles, ribs(they received rave reviews) and dumpling soup. The food was really good and affordable. If you’re not looking for somewhere fancy I recommend trying it.

If I were going to some this place up in just three words I would say BLAND, EXPENSIVE and GREASY! Oh and CRUEL, if I’m allowed to ad a fourth but more on that later. It is honestly Australianised Chinese food at its worst. We ordered handmade noodles with prawns and lemon chicken without any entrees or drinks and it was $ 40!!! I wouldn’t have minded so much if it had actually been nice but it wasn’t. The noodles were super bland and the chicken was not only rubbery but also coated in an inch thick, greasy batter. To make matters worse the live seafood they had(those crabs and fish in a tank some restaurants feature where you can pick which one you want to have killed and cooked) were living out their final days in misery. The crabs had their claws tied up with string and barely had room to move. Meanwhile the poor fish were tightly packed in and had barely enough water to cover them. I suggest you avoid this place.

I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious shakes they make there and how delicious the peking duck pancakes are. What i love most about this place is that it closes in the early hours of the morning so you can come here anytime and order all the dishes! The dishes are cheap and customer service is typical chinese restaurant standard.

The service is really bad. They made me wait 30 mins just for a bowl of congee. And when I asked when is my order gonna come. The lady told me «soon». Don’t even try come here guys

Love the food here, but the service is pretty average and the décor is a little terrifying, particularly the bathrooms. In saying that, I still came back, and I’ll probably go again, but only in summer so I can sit outside!

My favourite Sydney Chinatown restaurant. Open really late and survived recent ownership change. Others more salubrious but this is great value, BYO only. Not for Yum Cha, late dinner best.

I’m from NYC and this reminds me of the Chinatown restaurants from there. We had stir noodles with beef and it was good. The meat was slow cooked to fall off the bone. The noodles were egg noodles and standard tasting. The tea tasted like water. My table wasn’t clean. The price is cheap though during happy hour with 20% off! I’d come back for a cheap lunch. Some food items can get pricy though.

An institution of Chinatown — I remember going here with my parents as a child and they have always done Cantonese staples quite well particularly congee. The other dishes have deteriorated over the years in my eyes but the congee remains top notch. My favourite thing about their congee is the fact that is has been cooked for a long time and its a smooth soup without solid grains of rice. Back in the day we used to have pippies and fried noodles but I avoid these now and just stick to congee and soup or braised noodles. One thing that has improved a little bit is the décor and the general hygiene. It was certainly dubious in the 90’s to my teenage eyes but has improved and the bathrooms are a little cleaner now. As with all the other Chinatown joints, they do outdoor seating as al fresco dining has certainly picked up in the last 10 odd years. They also do value for money breakfast sets which is normally some rice rolls + congee and a dough stick,

Outside seating to soak up the scene. BYOB from the corner market since they do not have liquor Lic. Service is lacking and without the basic server vocabulary such as plate, fork, etc. I had to repeat myself 3 times to ask for rice. It was a bit hilarious at that point. We ordered the Peking Duck which was ok. Do not get the second dish in the lettuce wraps, it was unedible. The soup and string beans with minced pork were wor

I was craving some sort of noodle soup and needed a big meal for what was going to be a big night out. I chose the beef noodle soup — beef, noodles, and Chinese broccoli. This thing is huge! There was absolutely no way that I could eat it all, which is too bad because I really liked it. The broth was extremely flavorful, the noodles were nicely cooked and there were plenty of them. I could have liked if the Chinese broccoli was cut into smaller pieces — they were just slightly over bite sized which made them a little difficult to eat, especially being in a soup. The beef was also a little fatty, but luckily the fat was pretty easy to separate from the meat. We had to walk up to the front to pay our check because a waiter never came around with it. They don’t serve any alcohol, but are happy to accommodate a bottle of wine that you bring in yourself.

It’s not the best Chinese food you can find in Sydney, but if you’re hungry and near the CBD, they’ll feed you up to 2am. I think that’s the main reason they are so popular. The food is average, the service is below average and it isn’t a model of cleanliness, they just do the job. The BBQ pork noodle soup is the best of the noodle soups option. I’ve had different meat dishes and they were all tasty. Overall, an OK experience.

Good Cantonese restaurant in the heart of China Town, Sydney. Yeah… the service is crappy, the employees don’t speak too much English but the food is good. Super Bowl Chinese restaurant is one of many Chinese restaurants on restaurant row. Plenty of seating as they have two sides of the restaurant. Good noodles, rice, rice porridge(jok) and appetizers. For Sydney standards, the Chinese food is good. You can’t compare it to Los Angeles, Bangkok or Hong Kong Chinese restaurants though.

Are you looking for the flavour of a typical and simple Cantonese Chinese restaurant with the additional option of sitting outside to enjoy the nice Sydney weather and do some«people watching»? Well, this place may have your answer. The new friend told me that this place has been around for a while and it is fairly popular. We sat outside and we both ordered 乾炒牛河(Gon Chao Ngau Ho in Cantonese Chinese) which are these dry fried flat rice noodles with beef and bean sprouts. The texture of the noodles was good, the beef was tender and it was nice that they added some sesame seeds to enhance the flavour a little. One dish should be enough to fill one’s stomach for dinner. The prices of the noodle dishes are a little bit high at around $ 15. I came back again, this time to eat 粥(juk), which is congee. During the mornings, they have this morning special for under $ 8 where you get to order a meal set that includes congee with some side dishes. I ordered the D 餐(chan), where for $ 7.50 you get some minced pork congee, some 腸粉(cheung fun), which is this rice noodle roll doused in sauce, a small plate of fried noodles and a dumpling. The congee was pretty good, not too thick or watery. The 腸粉was not bad and the fried noodles were also good. Everything tasted good and I felt the small flavour of a simple Cantonese restaurant, and almost felt like I was in Hong Kong just by looking around inside. Don’t expect very fast service and this place is definitely not one of the cleanest restaurants. If I came to this place at 1:00AM after an insane evening in Sydney, I can imagine the food being tastier after heaps of drinking. Overall, I don’t think this is the best Chinese restaurant either in Sydney, the state of NSW, or in Australia, but the food here is tasty, not terrible and definitely inexpensive compared to other restaurants in a city like Sydney. I really hope the Chinese food will be better if I go to places like Hurstville or Chatswood. However, this is a decently good Chinese restaurant if you want to sit outside and«people watch» in Sydney.

Easy and cheap eatery. Congee is full of flavor and duck is crispy and delicious. Don’t expect great service, not bad but no nonsense. Food comes fast and hot.

Meh. If this is the best in Sydney that’s pretty sad. Been in Hong Kong and SF bay area and those are high bars of course. But I’d expect slightly better still for a major city. Had the breakfast special with beef congee, rice rolls, noodles and one dumping for $ 7.80. Price is good but the food sucks. The only thing good was the dumpling. The rice rolls were gummy, the noodles cold and flavorless. The congee just ok.

Had a typical Hong Kong breakfast. Pork and century egg congee, steamed rice noodle with a sweet soy dressing, har gow dumplings and crispy dough sticks . Very good quality and fast service

An institution in Sydney’s Chinatown. Super Bowl has been one of the long standing establishments synonymous with late night dining after a night out. Been going here with friends ordering our usual Lean Pork & Century Egg Congee, X. O Pippies, Salt & Pepper Squid and freshly made Chinese donut to dip into the steaming bowl of congee. Although tonight we go all out and get the 2 course Peking Duck which is fairly good. Light, crisp and flavour laden skin for the pancakes and San Choy Bao for the second course, nothing to write home about but the rest was finger licking delish! Great place for late night dining with friends to wind down a big night!

What can I say, it’s a really good place in the city to get Cantonese style congee which isn’t home made and also a good place to get chow mein. There are many other dishes on the menu but it’s most famous for their congee. I usually get congee(there are many you can choose from) and also bring people here if they have never tried congee or in that case, Cantonese style congee before. The place can be busy depending on the day and time you go but it’s worth it for the congee. The service is ok, not bad and they do their job. They also open quite late, up to 2am I think on most days and later on Friday and Saturdays, which is a good thing if you are hungry and searching for a place still open to eat. When I see this place while walking by, I feel like«This is Asia». You go for the food, so don’t expect too much from them.

It’s kinda the last option when it is 11pm. The food is up to standard. But it’s very very noisy. It’s not clean. The waiters are like dead fish. Oh well, if u starve yourself for the day and u wanna fill it up before heading to bed. Their congee is pretty alright. A little bit pricy but like I said. It’s the only option.

Delicious for breakfast! The congee, chow mein, and sticky rice are so good! Pretty fast service. One of the younger ladies working there was kind of rude though.
