This is, hands down, the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything tastes fresh and fluffy, creamy, tender, flaky, buttery, grill-y… I’m running out if adjectives. But I’m praying they’ll be open on New Years Day so I can eat there one more time before I fly home to LA. Also, the staff is incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. And don’t be afraid of the house wine — it was also quite tasty.

Excellent Indian food. We had two vegetarian dishes and the stunningly delicious panjim fish. Service was attentive. Prices good. Will come again for sure.

We stopped in quite late on a Sunday night but still 40 mins before closing time and the waitress was hesitant about seating us(I think she wanted an early night) we were given menus and left to our own devices for about 15 minutes before she came back and asked us to order quickly because the kitchen was getting ready to close… We ordered Samosas and cheese naan bread to start and hubby ordered lamb Rogan Josh & I the Mango Chicken curry. The Samosas were rather large but ok, not earth shattering. The cheese naan took its time arriving and was doughy and pretty much inedible. The Rogan Josh was delicious, tender meat and beautifully spiced. The mango chicken was tender and delicious. The good curries saves this restaurant from the bad service and attitude of the waitress.

Namaste offers something different to the usual fish and chip shops or chains that can be found easily in Bondi Beach. Namaste offers authentic Indian cuisine in an attractive location. The restaurant is aesthetically appealing with its decorative interior and many statues of Ganesh that offer to bring everyone a bit of luck on selecting what they are going to enjoy. I arrived early evening time and was the only one frequenting the place other then the staff. I decided to get down to business quickly and ordered. I decided to go with lamb chops as an entrée. The main I selected was Seafood mixed Korma with a side of rice and garlic naan bread. They offer this combo for $ 29pp which is reasonable. The lamb chops were delicious and cooked with ginger and spices and Homer Simpson would be proud. The Sea food dish was extremely tasty and contained prawns and John Dory. The garlic naan came in very handy to make use of the left over sauce. Service was a little slow considering that I was the only one there initially. They served a gentleman who ordered take away before me which I wasn’t happy about but overall good quality was very good so I would return again.

I hear a lot of people say they’ve gotten sick from Indian food(must be the spices) so I am always a little leery. However; we love Indian food so we were willing to take that risk. Especially coming from such a beautiful establishment and a sign out front that said they had a $ 10 lunch special — for the exact curry dish we’d been looking for but hadn’t found in the 2 other Indian restaurants we’d come across. What we got was a chicken curry lunch and it was really good and a decent portion size. That made our stop a successful one. The only thing better would be if we could have eaten it there(the special was only for take out) because the restaurant is so lovely.

Ordered delivery for lunch today. The order came earlier than expected. After placing an online ordered they called to let us know they were out of the chicken tikka masala and offered to give us chicken curry. Even though we were bummed about not getting our favorite dish, in the end we were glad. The chicken curry was delicious and we would have never known! We will definitely order from here again.

best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had. Ample portion size of beautifully spiced, high quality chunks of meat, cooked perfectly. The garlic naan was very good as well. Ordered it as takeout, and it was 100% ready upon my arrival.

I was here for a fundraising dinner with a big group of friends/philanthopists — we had a set menu and(pretty much) the whole restaurant to ourselves. It was a really nice night — food was plentiful, service was speedy, we were greeted with a smile and I don’t think anyone left unsatisfied. I don’t eat much Indian food(strange, since I always enjoy it) so it’s hard to compare it but everything I ate was delicious and, judging by the number of people who came in to collect takeaway during the evening, I’m guessing the food is good by many people’s standards! The fundraisers organised BYO for us but apparently the restaurant is in the process of getting its liquor license(which is handy but since there is a bottle shop just a few doors away, BYO is almost preferable). If you’re organising a meal for a large group, I’d definitely recommend Namaste. I’ll have to go back one day soon and experience the normal dining scenario(an excuse for more papadums! Yay!).

Had home delivery from Namaste Was very fresh, not overly oily and very very tasty. We had the tandoori mixed entrée, butter chicken an peshwari naan. Finally a tasty and fresh Indian restaurant in bondi! Much needed in the area!

Finally. Indian in Bondi. That just so happens to also be delicious. But how best to describe it to you, dear reader? Well… you know when you order too much from an Indian restaurant and you get the leftovers packaged up to take away but when you go to eat said leftovers for lunch the next day(ok fine, breakfast) you can’t bring yourself to do it because the grease sheen that has coated the plastic container and subsequently pooled into oil slicks atop your aloo tikki, chicken jhalfrieze and lamb roganjosh gives you night terrors in the daytime?(Phew. Breathe.) Well, that didn’t happen the next day. Dare I say, it was even better the morning after as all the spices had really settled as they do, and it came out of the container without a Cat In The Hat-style signature calling card. We were very impressed by the vegetarian dishes, specifically the aloo gobi and dal tadka, although I could have had them both a touch spicier. But the standout was the fish curry, to which I leave you with this quote directly from their menu: «Panjim Fish Curry: Panjim on the konkan coast comes this beautiful recipe which only taste cant(sic) describe best.» Note: Unfortunately you’ll also pay for said deliciousness, entrees coming in from $ 6-$ 15 and mains from $ 14 – 20. But quality is much higher than your old go-to London standard Indian takeaway that you drunkenly hit on Brick Lane and then denied knowing anything about the day after(just me?) so it’s certainly worth it in my book. Free delivery over $ 30 within 4kms.
