Maybe 2,5 or 2,75 stars instead of three. Neighborhood eatery with friendly service but it’s not as cozy as its Tandoğan location. The Maltepe branch is HUGE. That’s great if you want to sit outside on the sidewalk of a very busy street, where exhaust can linger after an otobus passes. However I don’t like the cavernous interior, which is much more impersonal. I visited this Gümüş location since my friend organized a Mediterranean breakfast. I’m still not entirely sure how it differs from a Turkish breakfast… other than the over-easy egg, cin boregi and sosis on a skewer. All of which I could pass up because they’re greasy. We arrived at 11-ish for a leisurely meal… but witnessed the lunch hour traffic which included several men in suits.
