We chose this restaurant because it had outdoor tables, and our friend wanted to try the lamb liver kebabs mentioned by our Gate 1 guide as a local specialty, and this restaurant advertised it in English. Lamb liver skewers kept arriving to excess, and the waiter said he held a few back. If you like liver you would like it. Plus, there was a Unilocal review in English letting us know this place was a good choice. Endless tasty salads of fresh tomatoes, and grilled onions were placed on our table by a friendly waiter before the nicely grilled lamb and chicken kebabs arrived, along with french fries. The location was great for local people watching. The only downside is the lack of beer or wine available, but they pointed us to Pub Corn just a few blocks up the street.

Dropped into this really big restaurant before a football match… fast and attentive service ALMOST made me forget about the game. As the communal insalada and garnish dwindled, supplies were readily replenished. When I was a kid, my nan cooked liver(ciğer) once. I don’t know why — and I HATEDIT. There was something nasty about the texture. However I’ve grown to enjoy pâté and foie gras. Maybe it’s more acceptable when it’s seasoned by a professional… chilled … or simply in smaller, bite-sized portions. I got a lahmacun b/c it’s like a Turkish soft taco. Add the red pepper flakes and order an aci şalgam suyu para mas picante! ay-ay-ay! Mis compadres offered me a bite of ciğer şiş. I was pleasantly surprised by the non-chewy and non-pasty texture. However I’m not ordering it for myself. Super-convenient location
