Tehran Grill

A favorite place. High quality tasty food, polite and nice people and cozy local. Rice was little bit cold previous time, I mentioned it this time and got it at perfect temperature. Food absoloutly worth the money you pay. The only thing is that noise level is high, I guess that is the problem with all popular places ;)

My initial excitement about Tehran Grill may have been influenced by just returning from a three day vegan wedding. The menu sounds amazing, gorgeous flavors and lots of meat!
The food was good but didn’t quiet deliver the punch I was expecting. There was a large group of us and we all went for the Sinie Platter, we may have been lacking imagination on that one. You get two sides with a choice between a number of rice dishes and bread. I went for one rice dish and a bread serving, however, the platter already comes with bread so I ended up with two bread servings. I think they should say that bread comes with the platter. The service was a little slow, we had to ask for our wine as there was no sign of it coming. The meal and a couple of bottles of wine came to about 400SEK each including tip (approx € 45).

Great interior. Bad service. Cold food. Asked us to move after having seated us and given our drinks because another group arrived… wow! Brought us 3 portions of food instead of 2 that we ordered, then claimed it was their mistake yet charged us for all of it. My dish was less than room temperature and no one checked on us except for a casual glance. Bizarre. Charged us 600 crowns for mediocre at best and ruined what was supposed to be our last evening in town visiting family. Thanks, but I think the kebab kiosk does a better job.

New addition to Birkastan’s busy restaurant scene. Tehran Grill adds to the wide selection of Persian restaurants in Stockholm city. As one could assume from the name, the restaurant focuses on grilled cuisine. Many combinations of various meats prepared in different ways makes for a very good meal.
We had the Sinie Tehran platter for two (three different kinds of meat skewers laid on flat bread, 4 sides, and 2 types of rice). The kebabs were delicious and condiments were good too.
Good spot for a relaxed sit-​down dinner or take away.
