Great place and over the top Shrimp and Salmon salads! Crisp lettuce, poached and marinated garlic, olives. Get the picture. rated high on Trip Adviser. The proof is in the pudding, while all restaurants within 2 blocks sat empty at lunch, this place was full, sold out and a line at the door

Decent food and nice staff. Café Kladdkakan has a sweet and quiet atmosphere for meeting people and talking. Great ambiance.

Lovely atmosphere with superb coffee(served proper: piping hot), very nice staff, and delicious sweets /wide selection. Stopped in on an afternoon of exploring and it was a highlight of the wandering. Cozy local spot, perfect for your afternoon Fika. Highly recommend the hazelnut ball. No wifi, but wonderful windows for people-watching.

So the reason for this amount of stars is the welcome and the service.(Without the service, it’s merely a 3 star) The sandwiches are not stellar, and the kladdkaka(sticky chocolate cake) is good, but I can do better. Normally I wouldn’t even bother reviewing a café like this but there was just this ambiance of welcome when I walked in and asked way to many questions about everything. All answered and pondered with a smile.(Like why are the Swedish men rolling their shorts? Ridiculous, and cease it at once!) It is not a café I would seek out and redirect my travels to get to, but the location is such as when you are in Stockholm’s Old Town you might just pass, and if you’re hungry or in the need of a ‘fika’ this place works just fine. Try the ‘kladdkaka’ just because the hell of it, and take that selfie while indulging which the café logo in the background. Just saying«that’s right, I am soaking in sugary Swedish culture my friends»… And don’t you dare complain that the chairs and the table is not level when placed onto cobble stone. That’s because it’s old and not a mall. Deal with it!
