This is my favorite café in Stockholm for many reasons. First, the food is delicious. It’s not a big menu, but there is actual real food in this café — not just pastries and desserts. And it’s GOOD. Secondly, it offers a pretty good value. Gamla Stan is a primo area, and some things are overpriced, but this café has decent prices for good food. Third, the service is good and served with a smile. You order at the counter, and they bring it to you. No buzzers or techno-​stuff, just friendly are personable service. Last but not least, the atmosphere and space is wonderful. There are many nooks and crannies for private meetings and plenty of space — but it is often hopping. During the Middle Ages, it used to be a convent, and it has this very rustic, historical feel that is absolutely WONDERFUL.

Great place to grab a quick cappuccino and some delicious pie. We sampled the rubarb, blueberry, and chocolate pies. Definitely recommended.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich ungewöhnlich, top! Leider passen die Stühle da perfekt rein: lieblose Holztische und Stühle, gar nicht bequem. Dazu muss man sehr lange an der Theke warten, weil halt standardmäßig jeder mit Kreditkarte zahlt.
Ist man dann am Platz, so stellt man fest, dass das heiße Getränk gar nicht so heißt ist. Eine echte Enttäuschung im kalten Winter.
Insgesamt war es ok, aber hatte mir mehr erhofft.

Ideal, um dem hektischen Touristen-​Treiben im Västerlanggatan für einen Moment zu entfliehen und bei Kaffe & Kuchen entweder abzukühlen oder aufzuwärmen.
Zudem sind ständig Bilder ausgestellt, darum Art Café…
