The Lenchford Inn was always a fabled trip out with me and my parents. This place was magical to me as a child. A traditional English pub on the side of the River Seven, surrounded by trees and boats and other kids. My parents would buy some drinks and we would sit outside. I would wander off and explore, my parents would bask in the sun and watch the birds and boats go past. This place is just an amazing location to visit on a sunny day. We still occasionally go there when I am home. My parents are in there mid-70’s now but it still brings back so many memories. The place hasn’t changed much over the years. Its been kept in good nick and the current owners are very friendly. We did eat there and although not amazing it did fill the gap. It has what money can’t buy for me. Good memories of times gone by.

Nice club sandwich, the bacon and chicken was excellent. The chicken could have been in smaller pieces, perhaps sliced. But over all it was a very tasty club sandwich. The chips were nice too. The other people in my group enjoyed their main courses also. They had the beef lasagne, the steak and ale pie and the huntsman chicken. My sandwich and those mains were all great value also. A special mention for the starter from the board that we ordered for the table to share and not a good mention. Even if it was only 3.50GBP, the dressed nachos with melted cheese and BBQ sauce was inedible. It was like a dish a student would serve up when they had the munchies and that’s all they had in the cupboard. A star dropped for that. The starter being the only disappointment, we found the staff were very nice and helpful. The interior is your typical English pub which serves food: a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The tables outside by the Severn are very pleasant and recommended in the summertime.
