My favourite pub in Stratford. Staff very friendly food good value for money, the lunchtime meal deal great value. Building is old traditional black beamed style and nicely decorated inside.
Good choice of beers, real ales and wine & spirits all reasonably priced compared to other pubs.
Always busy Friday and Saturday nights so best book

Very cozy and pleasant pub that serves nice food and drinks.
The environment is old and authentic with small modern add-​ons.
The staff is very nice and always smiling making you fell right at home.
The beer selection is good with both standard and special ales.
The food is nicely presented and well made.

Perfect place for Saturday pub lunch. Good food, lovely Christmassy atmosphere, great range of drinks. Wow factor has to be the service though — the two people who served us were really helpful and keen to make sure everyone was happy. Not what you expect really from a pub. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

This is a nice, traditional pub. I only stopped in to have a couple of beers while visiting Stratford as a tourist. One good point is that it is conveniently located between Shakespeare’s house and Holy Trinity Church where he is buried. The staff is friendly, it has a pleasant atmosphere, and it hasn’t made an attempt to cash in on Shakespeare himself, which is much appreciated if you spend any amount of time in this town.
