I ordered online recently for a selection of items to be delivered to me for a birthday celebration giving clear instructions regarding 1) items were for a birthday celebration 2) if we were out, please to leave the items in the hallway, or with a neighbour 3) paying a PREMIUM fee for named day delivery(Saturday) When we arrived home at 4 pm on Saturday — there was no fish ! With a party arranged that night, I phoned Cornwall Fishmongers(answer phone to say closed until Monday). I phoned the delivery company — also closed ! My message on the answer phone was returned on Monday by an employee who started out by laughingly referring me to google maps ‚! — I was furious, as he clearly wasn’t taking my situation seriously — and trying to make light of it . I interrupted him to say, I wasn’t interested in excuses, and with no apology forthcoming I said I wanted to know how they were going to put things right . Hi response was abrupt nd he curtly replied he would give us a refund and put the phone down.
