Quite interesting décor, fancy yet eclectic. Service was on spot and the atmosphere very relaxing. There is a wide variety of dishes that would please pretty much any palate. The onion soup is probably the best that I’ve had in ages, the consistency is thick with delicious croutons. The dish to order is the rack of ribs, pure heaven. Unique presentation on a wooden plank adds to the experience. The pork belly is quite tasty as well. Definitely will becoming back again!

Love the décor — the ambiance is gorgeous, friendly customer service. Can’t comment too much on the food since we only had a hummus platter but I enjoyed it. The only downside is the drinks are weak for the price, but then again, I’m from California where the bartenders pour heavy! Would return.

Undisputed that the atmosphere is awesome at Rock and Rose. They obviously were going for something, and got it! I always wanted to try duck and watermelon — which they had as a starter and it was great. I wish the duck was a little more crispy for a texture difference(but that is being slightly picky). My friend ordered the squid which left much to be desired, it was good I just didn’t see the value for money on the plate — we should have had twice the amount. I ordered the ‘seared tuna’ for my main and was disappointed. It definitely wasn’t seared –looked more boiled? and the tuna was medium well. Granted, I didn’t tell them a temp but I assumed in a place that served so much fish they would cook the tuna correctly(rare to medium rare). I gave the feedback to the waitress and she apologized that«I’m so sorry, sometime’s it depends on the chef»… which makes me cringe a bit. I know the hardest thing to accomplish is consistency, but if I had ordered that same dish, say tomorrow evening, would it be the same or different? That’s the hardest thing about having good food is to make it consistent not based on which chef is in the kitchen. It’s not enough to give it a bad review, everything else was stellar and even with my tuna cooked not to my taste it was still HUGE and really full of flavour. My friend had the green curry which was really tasty. I just wish they would serve it in a beautiful but more eater-friendly way… like on a plate. Would I go back again? Maybe for their tasting menu or cocktails. But for those of you who like their fish a certain way, be sure to indicate a temperature when you order.

Took my mum to Rock and Rose on saturday for her birthday lunch and absolutely loved it! I let them know before hand that we were coming for a special occasion and they brought over a little shot of prosecco with a sparkler which was a lovely touch! The place itself is gorgous! The interior has a real kitsch feel, loads of little shabby chic touches around the restaurant itself. We shared three starters and a main course between us — all the dishes were excellent, particularly the crispy pork belly bites. The cocktails were also excellent — we went for the Rock and Rose Martini which was effectively a Pornstar Martini, one of best i’ve had. Will def be returning!

I must admit we have never eaten here. The décor is a massive turn off and depite the potential for hilarious people watching, I just can’t get over the feeling of desperation this place gives off. The three stars for three reasons: Espresso Martinis, Passion Fruit Daiquiris and prompt bar service. Honestly, we won’t ever dine here, but it’s a good last cocktail stop.

Understaffed so service left alot to be desired. Temperature very cold inside. They seem to be cutting costs in other ways too e.g. no bread basket, no butter, no condiments, tiny portions, ridiculous prices. A disaster. Never again.

Four of us were seated at this opulent quirky establishment last night for a birthday dinner and we were in for quite the treat! The service was simply great. Amy was personable, and funny yet knowledgeable and attentive… Hard to find in London! While the wines weren’t cheap, they were moderately priced but very good and went down well! We are the kind of people that have to try everyone else’s food so I got a chance to try a lot! The sample menu on the site showed lobster bisque and when it wasn’t on the actual menu, I was disappointed. So, I went for the onion soup and was most impressed. A perfect blend of spices and the cheesy goodness of the croûton was the perfect balance! I sampled my friends calamari and the crispy seasoned little morsels did not let down either! I had the lobster linguine for the main and this was the best lobster I have had in London! The lobster comes in the half shell and you can enjoy it on its own or shred the succulence onto the linguine… I did a little of both! The miso cod is one not to miss and comes with coriander rice which was a perfect match! We indulged on the hot brownie and ice cream and finished it all with an espresso martini that came with a sparkler and Amy singing me happy birthday! A brilliant experience and will definitely be back soon!

Totally mixed feelings on this place, first visit was great, couldn’t fault it, food was excellent and service was brilliant. Second visit, food was OK, service was pretty would I go again, probably only if it was someone else’s choice. Décor is brilliant, totally over the top!

Really good funkly, Baroque style restaurant. Very cool crowd with a good mixture. Good drinks menu and the food was very good. Menu had something for everyone. The Salt and Chilli Calamari was outstanding! Everyone I was with loved this place and raved about the food. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend this place for a good buzzy friends night out for a meal. 5 minute walk from Richmond Rail station. For a good few drinks, 3 course meal for 2 and liqueur coffee’s price came to £130 with tip. Not bad, but not good. If it was slightly cheaper, it would have got the 5 stars.

I live down the road from this place. Good food, but EXTORTIONATE. To be expected in the area, but there is expensive and then there’s taking the piss!

Mixed feelings– certainly a good restaurant if youre looking for something a little different. The extremely loud and funky interior do make dining here an experience in itself. The sunday luch here– which ive had twice is fab– great slabs of meat and delicious veg. Ive also had the beef and mango sald– equally yummy and the tuna staek in coconut broth– a real treat. Servive however was a little less impressive– perhaps the young guy who served us was new but he didnt seem to know what he was doing. And we waited a long time for food– to say that the restaurant was not that busy. But– overall– enjoyable. A little pricey but good, original food and definatley not dull, drab or dreary.

I’m giving this place 4, but perhaps it should be 3, as the service wasn’t brilliant that day. We went in because it seemed the busiest place around and The Prixe Fixe lunch. £13.50 for 2 courses looked interesting Well it was rather slow, we were sat outside on the deck, and it did seem as if a lot of people had arrived at the same timeI’m going to give them the benefit. Pleasant service, and when the food came it was really good, my warm goats cheese starter was good, and the Tuna Stirfry with coconut was very generous and extremely tasty. It was only when I went inside to check the facilities that I saw the décor, well it’s somewhere past OTT, possibly near French boudoir worth seeing.
