The food is good from here, however the service can be sloppy. I get the impression they just don’t really care. Ordered takeaway the crispy duck had no plum sauce?
My main beef is the price though, I just think its ridiculous what they charge. Sesame Prawn toast should not be that expensive, its so cheap and easy to make! And I think they should give a discount on takeaway.
The Peking Garden needs local competition.

Have never eaten in but the takeaways I’ve had have been delicious. Staff are friendly and the food is ready quickly (but not so quickly that you worry!). Prawn crackers were a litte soft, so didn’t have those again, but otherwise very good.

My favourite Chinese, and I’ve eaten in hundreds. Not cheap, but excellent food in a friendly atmosphere. Family run. Ideal for that ‘special occasion’ banquet. Always welcoming and they remember their ‘regulars’, however irregular.

We had a family meal for 3 set meal C. Service was very friendly and helpfully. Food and presentation slightly above average. Prawns poor, Mongolian lamb very tasty. We paid £18 per head.

This is not quite our nearest chinese restaurant — but it is the one we keep returning to.
I am not sure that the food is much better than many — though we have never been disappointed. All the staples are well covered and there a few more interesting dishes to grab you.
The main reason we keep coming back is the friendly attentive service and the buzzy, lively atmosphere. This is what I think lifts some chinese restaurants above others.
We also do get out take aways from here — so I guess we must liek the food as well!

Friendly Chinese restaurant, well-​known and well-​regarded in the area and established for many years. Plenty of seating, although usually busy at weekends. Great for Sunday lunch. Food is extremly good with a wide choice. Waiters are polite, efficient and entertaining.
