McDonald’s

Used to be the best made food of all the McDonald’s restaurants in London, but not so much now. Staff are fine, but again used to be better

Cheap, efficient, high in fat and sodium, who doesn’t know about McDonald’s? Like anything, there’s a time and place where Mickey Dee’s belongs. Late night nibbles or with passels of kids, usually. Though I have to admit, the Egg McMuffin is an amazing treat (if you want a head start on experiencing an angioplasty before age 50).
This McD’s is on two floors, with the kitchen and tills («registers» in American) on the ground floor («first floor») and a dining area and toilets on the first floor («second floor»). Like most McDonald’s that I have visited, the loo («toilet») is pretty clean. Tables and chairs are mostly bolted down (who steals a chair??) but the wireless works pretty well (though there are NO power outlets). Service is efficient and the exposed kitchen areas look very clean.
If you just want a hot cup of filtered coffee and a few minutes to catch your breath, this is a decent spot. If you’re traveling with enough kiddies to start your own cricket team («baseball»), they’ll all love a visit to McDonald’s for a Happy Meal.
