There’s only one thing better than Fish and Chips and that’s Fish and Chips by the sea. Having spent most of the day in Winchester, my friend took me to Harlees, which is right on the quay at Poole, for what she thinks is the best fish and chips in town. Yep, she was right. I ordered a regular cod and chips meal for about £6. The cod was HUGE, the batter nice and crisp, plus there were bits as well! The chips were also lovely, covered in salt and vinegar. It was served in a box as well, which was a novelty to me. I couldn’t resist but to start eating my chips as we were walking along the quay, and I reckon the smell of the sea air just adds to the saltiness of the chips, making them even better. The cod was really well cooked, with the crispness of the batter complementing the«melt in your mouth”-ness from the fish. So next time you’re in Poole, check out Harlees. I know I’ll be back!

Good fish and chips and a restaurant upstairs so you can sit inside on a cold windy day.
