A very nice place to relax! We are generally in for dinner with my young nephews and the staff are always great. The food is good pub grub!

Been here a couple of times for lunch and dinner since it was renovated. Food has always been decent by pup-grub standards. Inside you go down some stairs which takes you into the large conservatory at the front to eat. Good for sitting and watching the world go past whilst eating your lunch. Service has always been warm and friendly but could maybe be a little faster.

Summary: Location: Paisley(outskirts of Glasgow) Price per night: £25 for double room incl breakfast Facilities: Bar, restuarant, Wi Fi Rooms: Small, slightly dated, signs of wear & tear, but sufficient for a stop-over Service: Very high standard The Abbey Inn is located in Paisley, on the outskirts of Glasgow. We booked through as a last minute alternative when camping proved too cold(!) At a rate of £25 per night for a double room(including breakfast) our expecatations were not set too high. The hotel is situated on a main road and is more of a pub with rooms above. It has a free car park which seemed secure enough, but faces the main road and does not have any sort of barrier or entry system. From the outside, the Abbey Inn seemed quite welcoming. You are required to check in at the bar. The bar/restaurant was a lot nicer than expected. It looks like it has recently been refurbished — all the furniture and décor were very smart and everything was extremely well kept. We had booked a double room but unfortunately the manager informed us that the previous occupants had left with the key. as an alternative we were offered 2 single rooms, one with an ensuite. This wasn’t ideal as the rooms were about as far apart from each other as they could be! The manager was extremely apologetic and offered to throw in free drinks for us. Persuaded, we accepted the rooms. On reflection, we actually got a much better deal. The double room did not have an ensuite so would have been shared bathroom only. The single ensuite room contained a single bed, wardrobe, shower, toilet and sink. Rooms are small(could be described as cosy?!) and are only really suitable for sleeping in — after a while, a feeling of claustrophobia tends to set in. Although the downstairs restaurant/bar area seems to have been refurbished, the upstairs room area isn’t quite up to the same standards. The rooms have quite a dated feel to them and although clean, they do show signs of wear and tear. Facilities avaiable at the Abbey include the restaurant and bar downstairs, full English breakfast is inlcuded in the room price, and there is free Wi Fi throughout, including in the bedrooms. The service is of a high standard and management are extremely helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was served to our table swiftly, the managers were very keen to ensure our stay was comfortable. Overall this was a good place for an overnight stop. Taking price into account, it was excellent value for money. Service is professional and friendly and although the rooms are slightly dated, they are sufficient for a nights stay.

The location is nice, and the place is spot on, very easy to find, and the parking is reasonable. However I have been there twice. So I am not going back there again, as the staff service are absolutely shambles! As when I ordered for the foods, and waited for a bit. Then the food was delivered to our table, and I pointed out that some of them were incorrect. So they have amended it with few more time waiting! Then I asked for the bill. and I tried to work out, as my friend and myself would like to spilt it up. But I have found some items on our bills aren’t ours. But it have led more confusion with the staff, and their service are very poor. So I gave up and paid for everything, and walked out. Not a great service from the staff, as they were bit cheeky and impatient

Quite a small pub down a side street so not always obvious that it’s there. The inside décor is nice and cosy, not too modern but not old fashioned either. Staff are always very friendly and drinks are quite cheap in comparison to other pubs. They do a great quiz night during the week which is always good fun. Food from the Abbey Inn is very nice aswell, good selection of food. mainly traditional pub grub but that’s to be expected. Prices for food are also very reasonable.

Minutes from Paisley’s town centre, less than 6 miles from Glasgow city centre and a stones throw away from Glasgow airport, the Abbey Inn is perfectly situated to suit any guest’s requirements. The newly refurbished Bar Diner and Conservatory is the perfect place for a light bite or a more formal evening meal. The polished wooden floors, comfortable leather seating and dark wood bar ensure that it scores top points for style and comfort. But that isn’t the only plus with this little gem. The vast menu choice includes soft, freshly-made deli rolls and wraps, hot baguettes and baked potatoes that come with a range of delicious fillings. The menu also offers the tasty medallion of pork, haggis & black pudding stack, Cajun style chicken and fillet of salmon, as well as winter warmers such as home-made steak pie and spicy chili. I sampled one of the many daily specials which take their influences from traditional Scottish, European and Thai cuisine. Friendly and attentive staff, teamed with a cosy ambience and stylish surroundings ensure that the Abbey Inn is the place to be for a special family gathering, romantic dinner, drinks with friends or coffee and pastries with the girls. I also noticed that the Abbey also runs monthly Saturday night entertainment.
