I came in to the Caprice for something to eat rather than cooking at home.
This café seems nice enough with seating area to your left and a takeaway area to your right.
This place feels like a step back in time from the 1980’s where it looks like nothing much has changed apart from the daily specials.
On my visit it looked pretty quiet, but maybe the lunch time rush had finished, I ordered their special of chicken curry & rice with a side of chips, it may not have been the best tasting curry but beats some curry houses that I’ve been to in Glasgow city centre.
Well worth a visit for food that doesn’t cost the earth.

Food is good, staff are friendly. There’s a small step getting in. This is ok but due to this and a narrow door it is quite hard for wheelchairs to get in. The step is also slightly angled. It can get quite slippy too, witnessed an elderly woman fall but staff were quick to help.

I haven’t been to the caprice as much lately but I used to go all the time, the food is really good and is homemade, also quite cheap aswell.

This place was really busy when we went in for lunch on a Saturday. Found a table which was left uncleared for quite a while. Eventully it was cleared but waited another age for our order to be taken. Once it was though, food arrived quite quickly and was very good. Delicious macaroni cheese and a huge portion at a great price. Fantastic comfort food.

I love it in caprice, its all homemade foods and meals, the stafa re lovely and the food is great!
