Lovely, aged gastropub with fine food and reasonable(not cheap) prices. We were there for valentine’s day and the roast. The bass was delicious, and the roast sirloin was quite good – if a bit below my wife’s standards. Next time I’ll go with the lamb. The service was friendly, notable given the heavy crowds. But everyone was smiling both at the tables and the servers. Even the infants and toddlers seemed satisfied. There were two eager young busboys, they may have a future in the biz! Overall, a charming experince– we’ll be back.

Lived up to its reputation. Made our night. If making the beautiful but longish walk from Oxford the Perch Inn is a good place to grab a pint on the way and lubricate the joints.

Came here for a pint yesterday with my boyfriend. Just love it! Pints are at the more expensive end for Oxford ranges(~£4) but such a great feel to the place. Not far from central oxford but with the feel of a Cotswalds retreat to it! The décor is fun with sofas and lanterns and old crates(you know the drill) and the staff are just lovely! You can even see their pigs! Great tasting crisps and you can get some delicious meals(have eaten here in the past). A really great secret nestled in Wolvercote Village!

Our favorite place after five days in England. Fresh and local food. Simple yet imaginative dishes. Outdoor tables. Service/kitchen somewhat slow but in keeping with low-key nature of place.
