One of the best supermarkets in North Manchester. All the usual Sainsburys food goodies as well as a large clothing section and household wares. This supermarket was completely rebuilt 2⁄3 years ago so everything is still fresh and new. There is a nice café upstairs with views outside. There’s also some random things you don’t always get at a supermarket such as key cutting, shoe repairs, foreign exchange, a dentist and a pharmacy. They recently reduced the size of the clothing department a little in order to add a small Netto supermarket next door. This is the best of both worlds now as without moving your car you can pop into Netto for a few bits then into Sainsburys for the rest.

After a particular issue with the clothing department seeing me downgrade this store from 3 stars to 1, I revisited to receive a experiance for the majority of the store, shopping. The store has quite a large free from section of savoury items with a good amount of Genius Bread, Crumpets, Porridge and even Christmas items and a small Gingerbread man and a variety of biscuits. The Freezer range is very small and mostly contains DS or Sainsburys own products, the Sainsburys own products are just the same flavour pizza, chicken steaks etc you will see in Tesco’s own brand free from for example. This store is quite large but not alot of that is dedicated to frozen, I very much dislike the position of Frozen goods in the store being right at the bottom, The store had a good range of newspapers including the I and the Independent, in traditional supermarket layout which I like. Petrol prices are relatively good here but it would be better going to ASDA or even shopping at Tesco and using your Petrol promise points and saving, compared to BP and Shell however the prices are quite good. I picked up some No G gluten free Pies which were recently released into some Sainsburys Branches, they did not have the best of selections compared to Ocado or even their wbesite but still I managed to pick up a few good flavours, this was the main point of my visit really. Sainsburys even have some soups and sauces as well as a Hotpot ready to buy in their Free From section, this is also quite long, extending for a good third of the isle. They is quite a good Pharmacy in this store as well, which is open until late. Due to the reasons said above, I have to upgrade this store back up to 3 stars.
