I went to Odd for Friday night drinks. They had a good choice of cocktails and I loved my Mohito. It was a DJ night upstairs and the music was varied. It got me dancing, so I would say, well done :)

Yesterday for lunch my colleagues and I decided to go to Odd. Serving everything from burgers, sandwiches and wraps, hot dogs, steak and chips and sharing boards the menu is definitely varied enough for a lunch time. I opted for the Cheshire pork and chorizo burger which was nice and spicy, served on a brioche with fries. The beer selection in Odd is always good. They have an excellent display of local and foreign beers. I opted for the Brooklyn East IPA which is always a winner.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed here yet! We always come here for the great half price on a Monday day for food. Its a great central location that we always bring friends too! In the past I’ve had the steak(very tasty) and burgers but this time I tried their new goats cheese and portabello mushroom burger from their new menu-WOW! This was literally the beat burger ever, incredibly moist and delicious I would recommended to any cheese enthusiasts like myself! The great thing is with the burgers is you can decide to be naughty and have the amazing chips or go for an even better, fully dressed salad. The service is slightly slower on Mondays as they are always busy however the food is well worth the wait! this time we sat downstairs we had a very smiley and great waiter though in the past we have sometimes had quite grumpy waitresses who aren’t bothered about your order. This is a shame and something I think some of the staff need to work on. However!!! Not to end on a bad note, come here and come here often! They have amazing delicious food and a great selection of craft ales, ciders and beers!

Not here to eat so no food review but the menus are fairly standard fare of pulled this, BBQ’d that, with the butternut squash thrown in as an alternative. I’m sure it’s ok and the prices are pretty standard between £6−8. Eating seems to be mainly happening upstairs which is much brighter and more open than the street facing floor. Downstairs does feel more pub/bar like. Music is great, lightly funky with a contemporary feel which combined with an interior full of nooks and crannies to embed yourselves in and the odd lounging space gives it a nice speak easy feel. It’s a first generation Northern Quarter bar and in that context feels a little dated, but relaxed and a good flow through of a youngish crowd. Staff are great but beer wise it’s pretty pricy with only two happy hours a week(Thursday and Friday). That felt a bit mean. The ‘Odder etc’ franchise was cutting edge 10 years ago and still a good choice but with no shortage of rivals, I think it may be resting on its laurels

I really can’t fault Odd, the staff have always been really friendly to me and I think the food is great! You’ll often find me here on a Monday for their half price food menu. They they serve a good selection of burgers and sandwiches, though i’ve only had the burgers so can’t comment on the rest! My recommendation is the Baa Burger, which is the lamb burger with subtle mint. You can get this with either Salad or chips — I recommend the salad believe it or not, as it’s very tasty and comes with a nice dressing. The venue has a cosy feel to it, and there’s plenty more seating upstairs and as well as this they do a good selection of beers on tap to choose from. If you’re looking for some extra special pub grub then this is perfect and if it’s Monday well then you’re a Winner!

Dropped in here on Saturday evening and for a drink and ended up staying for a bite to eat! Theres a nice drinks menu outlining the nature of their tap and bottled beers(plenty of choice) as well as their cocktails and rums, whiskys etc. The food menu isn’t very extensive but covers all you would want from a bar food perspective, i. e BURGERS :) Hefty portion sizes and burgers served pink(unless requested otherwise) just as I like them! I went for there cheese burger which gives you the choice 3 different varieties of cheese, it didn’t disappoint! The skin-on fries and home made slaw were equally good! The place itself had a nice atmosphere, would definitely visit again! TIP: There’s 50% off food on Mondays!

Dropped in for food and drinks on Saturday, nice choice of beers on tap and bottled, accompanied by a drinks menu to help you choose one to your liking! I opted for the Baa burger, which was lamb burger topped with goats cheese. The burger meat itself was lovely because it came served pink(which I haven’t really found unless at an actual burger restaurant) of course being a french man I like my meat still mooing! I didn’t really feel the goats cheese added anything to it though because the lamb flavour was so dominating. This place has a laid back atmosphere and adequately priced, i’d definitely go here again for a few drinks and some good bar food again if in the area!

Odd pretty much lives up to its name — the interior is… well, a tad odd to be honest. Looking for somewhere for a quick drink before we were due to eat at Cane & Grain nearby, a mate and I nipped in here. They’ve got a good selection of beers and it’s very laid back in there. There’s plenty of seats. I’m struggling to come up with anything else to review about the place really — it served its purpose as a stop gap but it’s probably not somewhere I’d while away an afternoon. Pleasant enough, but not memorable…

Went for lunch here today — I had the cheeseburger and my husband had the tandoori chicken burger(we half and halfed) both were really good(the cheeseburger was better). The fries that came with were also good, but the«slaw» was a bit tasteless to be honest, but the staff were nice and friendly. We also decided to go for the carrot cake for dessert(we had wanted to go for the peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake that was in the specials menu, but it wasn’t on that day :(). If I’m honest the cake could have been better, it didn’t have much flavour and was a bit too moist. I really like Odd for lunch though, really reasonably priced, good sized portions and tasty food. Would have been 5 stars if the cake was better… I’m very particular about my carrot cake!
