Order never turned up after two hours, and their phone was off the hook. Never ordering from here again. Currently chasing a refund, which I am less than optimistic about.

Another naughty Saturday takeaway! On this occasion we decided to try something other than New Hot ‘n’ Spicy(when you start wondering whether they know your name, it’s time to move on!) so went for Golden Tandoori, based on Just Eat reviews. The menu is your standard Anglo-Indian fayre, with plenty of burgers and fried chicken for those who aren’t inclined to go for a curry. I’m not that adept at handling spice, so went for my standard chicken korma — it tasted delicious, with plenty of coconut, and moist chicken. The sauce was slightly watery, which was off putting, but that’s a minor in my book. When you order, you can choose from 4 sides to go with your curry, so I had the pilau rice and the boyfriend had the naan. Both were fine and went well with our meals. We ordered one serving of poppadoms, assuming that there’d be 2⁄3(as you get in restaurants) so when one turned up we were slightly disappointed — especially for 40p! Delivery was 10 minutes late but, on the whole, a decent meal. Oh, and orders over £15 get a free pizza — orders over £25 and you get pizza and a bottle of fizzy.

Wrong order(leaving items out then adding delivery charge because it’s under £6) and blatantly trying to get a tip too!

A few months ago I would of given this takeaway 5 stars, but recently there level of service and food quality has decereased, at one time delivery to my address about 1mile away was 25 – 30 mins this slowlyedged up to over 1 hour, I usually ordered on-line(just eat), then they told me they had their own web site, I ordered from their site, and the order never arrived, I phoned to check where my order was and got told they hadn’t recieved it, so re ordered. After the last time I ordered from them delivery was almost 2 hours(after 3 phone calls to see where it was) told the driver I would not be ordering from them again, next day a phone call from the owner/manager asking me to reconsider and offering a free meal, told them no thanks one to avoid

Golden Tandoori. Take Away Indian food, golden in colour. No not really, its just normal colour. And normal quality. 3 Stars. The menu reads ‘Specialists in Asian Cuisine(Burgers, Kebabs, Curries, Pizzas)’. I’m glad they specified what they meant by Asian Cuisine because I’m sure pizza and burgers weren’t the first thing that sprang to mind for all of us. I would suggest they just wrote ‘Specialists in Cuisine’ but they aren’t really specialists, so perhaps the menu could just say ‘Cuisine’. Actually that sounds a bit nice, so it should really say ‘Food’. There are some good points though, including decent food. And its very reasonably priced at under £5 for most of the curries. They also do some great deals such as a free pizza(to go with your curry) when you spend over £10, and a free bottle of coke, when you whack over £20 on your curry. Golden Tandoori. Food.
