I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday evening, one of whom is a coeliac. We explained our intolerances to the waiter and he said he would check our order with the kitchen, but didn’t offer us an allergen menu. When my starter came, it was covered in breadcrumbs; the waiter apologised and said he’d forgot, and I had to order another starter. When the main came, my friend’s haloumi was covered in some batter, so her dish had to be sent back. The waiter apologised again, and offered us a free bottle of prosecco. When we had food that was suitable for our dietary requirements, it was delicious, but getting there was tough. One error is bad enough, but twice… I don’t think I’ll be returning here

Delicious food. Garlic bread to start. The duck with strawberry cassis jus… yummy. The chocolate fondant with caramel ice cream was fab. (See pic) so busy!!!

Having historically not been a huge fan of Castlefield I was pleasantly surprised how good the food and drink was at Albert’s Shed. I went trad with fish n’ chips from the lunch menu and it was on par with the best in Manchester (TNQ in my opinion).
Wait staff were wonderful and were really attentive when a friend’s starter arrived a bit cold. And the venue is a great space. Looking forward to some canal side drinks here when Summer returns!
