I LOVE abduls! I have been a faithful of curry mile my whole life… and it’s not so much Abdul’s that rules, as it is the chefs. I have followed them from place to place they have worked at along this stretch, and they are superb! Seekh kebabs are by far my favourite, but you can’t go wrong with a donner. And load up on chutney and salad, but get it on the side so that it doesn’t get all soggy.

Read in a guide book to Manchester that Abdul’s is a local favourite and that people miss this as one of the best things about MCR when they leave the city. I am not sure why. Their kebab sandwiches/rolls(ie choice of a chargrilled meat in a naan bread with salad and sauce) are pretty standard and taste quite similar to the other kebab rolls I have had along the curry mile. It does what it says on the tin though, I got a chicken tikka kebab on naan bread with two sauces and a salad, great if you’re on an empty stomach, for a mere £3.60 you can’t go wrong. Their can drinks are 0.70p though. Few doors down you get a similar kebab for £3.20 and 0.50p a canned drink at Saajan’s. Not sure what the hype is about. All these kebabs taste the same to me. This one in particular could have done with more spice or salt.

I’m kind of stuck on how to rate Abdul’s, because my usual experience of it is not in the clearest of minds, so it’s hard to say whether the food is great. Plus, I associate it so intrinsically with the closing hours of a night out that I’m not sure I could objectively rate the flavour anymore. One thing I can objectively rate is the pricing though, which remains very good value, and as a popular takeaway the food must be pretty good, and it’s certainly never tasted wrong to me, so I’m inclined to give that a thumbs up as well. The staff in Abdul’s always seem to be friendly as well, no matter which one you end up in. Another decent offering by the curry mile.

AAAARRGGHHH another Abduls. See the legions of Abduls reviews around and you’ll quickly realise it’s a mixed spot. In this sense I might consider Abduls like marmite you either love it or hate it. I’m the latter I afraid, but the terminology is slightly harsh. Abduls is ok and does a good selection of foods, but it’s everywhere and very monotonous. The kebabs are good though.

I like this Kebab place too. Though there are some more exotic places further down Rusholme, so I wouldn’t say this was among the best in Manchester. It is really cheap though. Of course, the only thing to have is the Seek Kebab, which they sell much more of than anything else(I asked). The small is only £2.60, and instead of coming with the usual one stick of spicy minced lamb, comes with two. The large, at £3, has even more gorgeous filling, and at the moment comes with a free drink! The man who is almost always there is a lovely chap, and is keen to make your kebab to your perfect specification, no matter how fussy you are. I personally go for all the salad, extra tomato, lots of chilli sauce and a little bit of garlic for good measure. They’ll also do the sauces in little bags to take away, which is a good idea if you’re going to walk home before eating, because it saves your naan bread from getting soggy. The naans are worth a mention too, as they are made to order fresh from the dough, so they’re piping hot and very tasty indeed. I think it’s the best way anyone could ever spend £3.

Abdul’s is one of those places that you often forget about, until you next stumble across it in a drunken haze and your eyes light up. Most locals agree that this is one of the best kebab houses in Manchester. i tend to always go for the safe bet: the Chicken Tikka Kebab with salad, Chilli and Yoghurt in naan bread, although the lamb kebab has been making headway on recent visits. Tasty, cheap and service with a smile. You can’t top it at the end of a night’s drinking.

I am not qute sure but somehow this Wilmslow one tastes better than other abdul’s branch. maybe more costomers to come so that they can consume ingredents that quickly? I like chikin tikka but as a girl, i do not want to show off my messy eating so I normally ask for take away. and the portion is huge for me so share with my boyfriend. Im not keen on other kebab take away but i like this one!
