Bad sushi, poor selection, abysmally slow service. £1.10 for tap water. They even charge for green tea, which would be an embarrassment in Japan. London has great places for sushi — this is not one of them.

A really great yo Sushi — much more varity and choice then my local Dublin branch. Very good service and a really nice restaurant. Really glad I sought it out !

I usually love a good old trip to Yo Sushi on a blue Monday. But come to this branch at your peril!!! It is tatty and dated compared to some of the better Yo Sushi establishments and some of the food on the belt was well past it’s sell by date! We were served white salmon as a substitute for normal salmon on the night we came here but were given no explanation until we complained that the salmon looked peaky! Just seemed a little sad and disappointing considering the prices in here. Try Market Place instead!

For a large restaurant chain, YO Sushi! isn’t too bad at all. The sushi isn’t amazing but it’s not terrible. Better than refrigerated supermarket stuff put it that way. For a quick lunch, I think it’s good. They have a Japanese style restaurant in most(I’m not bold enough to say all) of their restaurants — sushi going around on a conveyor belt, stools, chopsticks and small plates etc. The seats aren’t too big either so if you’ve got shopping and fancy sushi you’ll find it hard to fit your bag under the table. It’s really bright inside which I sort of dislike as I prefer a warmer tone when dining but again for lunch it’s fine. Service is attentive and friendly as usual and even the chefs(who make everything in the middle) are pleasant. The bill is slightly steep and after helping yourselves to plates off the conveyor belt you don’t realise how much you’ve spent! I recommend trying a few dishes from the menu — especially the chicken katsu curry.

Though not a connoisseur(sadly yes I did spell check that) of sushi I think this branch of Yo Sushi okay. I go there for lunch and occassionally too when I am shopping on Oxford Street. Yes it is expensive and yes if you go at the wrong tome(by that I mean any normal dining time) there will be a bit of a wait as this place isn’t overly big. I know it doesn’t sound like I am overly positive review but on the balance of this it is.

I would definitely recommend the Selfridges or Poland Street branches over this Yo Sushi(situated near Bond Street station). There is always a queue to be seated(even after they revamped to fit in more seating) and the place is generally a bit grubby and service is poor. The food can be good, but it’s bit hit and miss. And the toilets are really small, be careful you don’t get stuck!

The sushi here is not very high quality. I am very picky about the quality of fish that I eat, more than any other type of food group. Quality and Yo Sushi are certainly not synonymous.

To be quite frank the only time I visit Yo Sushi is when they do the rounds on the emails with discount coupons. It is an extravagance at the most but I really can’t get enough of the trendy feel of the place, my photos always seem to feel more vibrant in that setting. The staff seem happy enough to be there and the food is exquisite bringing that oriental feeling back to London. Notably it is hidden away off Oxford Street making it a perfect way to surprise people of it’s charm.

Yo Sushi is over priced and I always end up leaving hungry! Did you know the chain was started up by one of the guys called Simon in the original dragons den? Anyway he sold it to some other people who have led its expansion. I’m really just not a fan. The food going around on a track is cool, I just whished it was chocolate or cakes, or some sort of high tea menu rather than fish still with a heart beat. If you go to their website and register you can get a half price voucher to help soften the blow. They are becoming all too common! Every street you turn there seems to be one.

Although the half hour wait is off putting, the food is definitely worth it. It’s an expensive lunch, on average taking about £10 to fill myself each of my friends. Different plates cost different amounts depending on their colour, starting at £1.70 and going up to £5 per plate. You help yourself to the plates on the carousel and they count up the plate stash at the end. The food was excellent, my only complaints are that water from the tap costs £1 per person and the service was horrible, despite the carousel doing much of the waiters’ job for them. Avoid getting noodles from the carousel, they are cold and it costs the same to order them fresh from the kitchen from one of the waiters, if you manage to get their attention. Nice for lunch or a snack, would be too expensive to fill up for dinner. I recommend: Chicken Katsu £2.70 and Pumpkin Karroke £2.20

Yo! Sushi? I like this one because it is hidden away in a back street of Oxford Street. Some native Japanese come here alone just to taste their traditional dishes, while other customers come here to catch up with friends. Apart from the restaurant, which is pretty much the same as any of their other branches, it has something extra special; it has extra space. This includes furnishings for sitting outside and eating your Yo! Sushi! dishes whilst being accompanied by the splashing sounds given off by a contemporary styled water fountain. It is designed on a wall, which reminds me of a Japanese garden, which also has a decorated wall associated with nature, peace and Zen. What makes this Yo! Sushi! restaurant different from the others is that it’s taken advantage of the additional space and used it as an opportunity to show off. However, like any Yo! Sushi! restaurant it has the same food, same sushi, same vegetables, same miso soup, etc. Yet, what I can say is that, although it is hidden it still gets crowded during the weekday evenings and I’m sure the weekends are worse. So if you plan to come here, make sure it isn’t during the busy hours. Come in advance.

This Yo Sushi hidden away in Sedley Place is a great spot to get away from the crowds on Oxford Street. The staff are really nice and friendly, and the place just buzzes with atmosphere. You can take sushi straight from the conveyor belt or you can order your favourite dishes. Unlimited water and unlimited miso soup is a big plus for a small cost. You just pay for the colour of the plate you eat from. The staff will come around and count your meal at the end. It can get busy in the winter because it’s too cold and wet for the fabulous outdoor seating area. Indoors has about 6 booths, and a long bar where you can sit and watch the sushi being prepared in front of your eyes. At the moment Yo Sushi has a special promotion when you register on their website — you can get a half price voucher!
