Went here for a friends birthday. We were downstairs in the little club area. Drinks were somewhat expensive(even for London). There was a happy hour until 8. Music was fun, nothing special, but good for a dance and a laugh. The venue let itself down by an unusually surely bog troll. I really don’t need help washing my hands and most reputable establishments provide soap and paper towels for their customers.

We are a marriage of goth aesthetic, with tattoos, we saw that out there was a free table and we decided to sit down and have a cocktail, when I’ll ask the porter tells me this all busy and could not stay, we went and had to return because we left a bag of chocolate forgotten, and surprise !! there was a couple sitting at our table with our bag of chocolate !! that happens to have an aesthetic that dislike can not eat? an hour before we had spent £ 1,000 in the Cyberdog and I think that people swanky bar or not you can afford … 0 negative for those people …

In my future Soho wanderings, I will definitely avoid this place. Me and my colleagues ended up queueing for the drinks for about half an hour just to get ridiculously overpriced cocktails. Bartender was clearly unprofessional, slow and ended up delivering exceptionally disgusting Margarita. As we escaped to find a better way to spend time and money(which we did in a pub one block away), a friend of mine was slapped in the face by the door so hard that she had to put an ice on it. Bouncer did nothing except for shouting something about us standing in the doorway. I have to admit though that the music was great.

It was all in all a horrible experience. Starting with entering and being charged £5 cover, which would have been fine. But the bartenders were incompetent, can’t give you any info. about the cocktails. This was confusing at first, but when I tasted their bland mix of mostly ice in my white russian, I understood. The atmosphere was dull. The only good thing was the song choice, which were pretty fun, except the sound system is horrible. When I went downstairs to check out the«dance floor». It turned out to be a new hell of speakers that was dug out from someone’s backyard with mostly treble that is specifically designed to kill the mood and pierce your ear drums. Would recommend if trying to get your ears pierced or if you hate yourself.

This place is nice for an afternoon drink, I like going upstairs when it’s open as there isn’t enough seating on the ground floor. I’ve never had a bad cocktail here either and if you don’t fancy anything on the menu they’ll dream you up something delicious if you ask for it. I wouldn’t really bother with the basement club underneath O Bar, it’s very small and usually full of straight tourists, and they’re quite weird about people putting their coats down(even though this DEFINITELY isn’t a proper club where you’d bother using the cloakroom).

Fun, packed spot in London’s lively Soho area. We were a large party but they let us all in on a Saturday night around midnight. DJ was playing all the good popular songs that kept people moving and the bar tenders were quick. I’d definitely come back.

One of my first nights out in london(i’ve only lived here a month) my housemates and i stumbled across this bar in soho. With the bouncer on the door trying to draw our attention inside, we decided to give it a go. My housemate made a deal with the bouncer, to get us a good price on door entry. So i recommend talking to the bouncer to work out a sweet deal on entry. Also ensure if you are going with males, that you have roughly one male per female, as they are serious about keeping the place balanced and not turn it into a «cock fest». Once inside there are three levels of music and bars. We stuck with the street level, as the music was good, and i wanted to try some cocktails. The drink menu is detailed, and all drinks are reasonably priced. I tried a few of the cocktails, and found the bar tenders to really make the bar. They are cute, helpful and extremely fun. The jäger shooter girl walking around, was also a great little something extra. The only thing i didn’t like about this place, was the music choice on the lower level. His taste in music was terrible, and the tracks had no flow. I personally prefer house music, and perhaps other people don’t mind cheesy music, however there was no actual mixing of music, which is what dj’s back home do. Anyways other than that i had a fabulous night at The O Bar and would go back for cocktails.

I had an absolutely miserable experience here. The bouncer did not let me in… on a Wednesday night. He lied, claiming it was bookings only(it clearly wasn’t). We had a discussion, he called me a «nobody». His name was Tony. Enjoy your time here.

It’s good for what it is. A colleague and I were looking for somewhere central with a happy hour for our work birthday drinks and she suggested O Bar. I joked that we should get there early to abuse happy hour and my colleagues took this too literally as I must have consumed five cocktails in an hour. They have refurbished the downstairs bar and it’s cleaner and more comfortable, though it’s still the size of a postage stamp. The staff were very friendly and the host was really helpful. However, don’t expect the height of sophistication; it’s somewhere where you can get hammered, dance to pop music and spend a lot of money.

After attempting to go to a bar close by that was closed for a private event, my friends and I saw saw the O Bar sign down the street and decided it was time to give this place a try. First of all, this place is on the tiny side. So bring friends you like, because you’ll be standing/dancing in very close proximity of them all night long. And be prepared to be pushed into the creepy guy who is staring you down more than once. And the drinks were definitely a bit on the pricey side for this type of venue… Oh and props to the bar, for returning my friends phone to her the next day! However, I do have to admit that despite all of these things my friends and I became fans of the O Bar. I think it had a lot to do with the cheesy American hits that were playing downstairs. Because lets face it, nothing’s better than a night out with the girls screaming along to the songs you know every lyric to…

O really? Well, this place annoyed me straight away by charging a cover when once we got inside, we found it wasn’t really worth it. Let me see… well, it’s small, crowded, there’s areas to dance downstairs and ever time I’ve been, the music was not worth the cover charge we paid… and the drinks were slooooow coming… I’m a pretty patient person, but geez oh pete’s… they were pushing my limits. This place should either be free entry… or a lot better once you get in…

WOWZA and not in a good way. When I first moved to London I was taken here, because it was literally the only place my friend could think of that was still open. As an American, I was truly embarassed for the sad looking people singing along to tunes that were just out of date! It was like being back at my high school prom, everything back than seemed cool but now it just doesn’t translate that way. This is also the place where I learned that«stripper heals» aren’t just for strippers any more. YIKES! The venue itself was OK, not the best club I have ever been to. And the drinks were tasty but a bit on the pricey side of life!

A stylish but simple bar in the heart of Soho, offering cocktails, wines and beers for a reasonable price. It even has a happy hour! The décor is a curious blend of old and funky, with a good old-fashioned curling wooden staircase

Always a good stop when you are in need of a casual cocktail before dinner or before a night out. I would especially venture here during the early happy hours which will definitely help to keep your wallet in check and still supply you with the succulent mixtures. The inside is cozy enough, but always gets really busy on weekends and night times, so I would always try to head here early. It’s not the best cocktail place ever, but it does offer a damn fine strawberry daquiri.

This place is a great stop-off before or after a dinner in Soho. It fits with Soho’s quirky, bustling vibe and the actually bar is pretty big inside, with the atmosphere alluding to cosy urban chic — something you don’t feel just by looking from the outside in… I’ve had a few good nights out here. It can get a little busy but if you can get past this, you can enjoy a great night out in the city. Drinking here always really makes me feel like I’m right in the middle of a really exciting city. If you want something with quicker service or less busy, then really, you shouldn’t be drinking in the middle of Soho. If you know what to expect, you won’t be disappointed.

Some of the nights out you remember because they were so brilliant and others because everything went wrong — and my experience from the O bar falls for the last category. The place does look really cozy and alluring outside with the obscure but little worn out decoration BUT during the evening the whole nice first impression scattered away and was displaced with pure disappointment. The service was incredibly rude and slow, more like non existing. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was just undrinkable, and when we kindly asked the waitress if they could see whether it was ok, she just got something like a nerve breakdown and after some nasty comments just walked away. Getting the bill was another equally slow story, and how ridiculously over priced the place is. Maybe the bar would deserve another change as the conflict was just caused by one person but on the other hand, there is so many nice places in Soho where to pick from that it is too easy to avoid repeating that experience.

O Bar is a great late night spot in Soho if you prefer sitting and drinking and talking, and don’t want a nightclub. It’s central, has lots of drinks on offer, and has two levels. Some straight tables, some low sofas. The music is usually a mix of retro rock and dance. There’s a separate bar upstairs. There’s happy hours in the late afternoon. There’s a cover charge to enter after 10pm or so; I think it’s about £5. There’s no food here, just drinks. And usually lots of those. Once again: everything you need is on Wardour Street.
