This venue is great for a night out. I have been here twice and both times thoroughly enjoyed myself. I came with friends who really enjoyed themselves, It is spacious and there is enough space for you to move around, loads of seats if you want to sit, also the dance floor wasn’t too packed that you can move around without bumping into anyone. There is a club downstairs which had a salsa band and a lot of good salsa dancers. It was a good night out and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great cigar bar. After dinner cocktails followed by cigar. The mini cohiba certainly one of the best I have had for quite a while

First time visiting London and we were told this is the place to go dancing and it was. Now the table service was extremely slow. It took over 30 minutes to get our drinks to go along we a 10£ cover charge they should have better service or more staff

Pretentious pretentious pretentious… also overpriced for the area that it’s in. We came as a couple and we’re just sick of being told where we can’t stand, where we can’t put our coats and where we can’t put our drinks… dance floor was really only for people who can dance salsa and drinks were just overpriced… crazy that they can charge £12 for a mojito… nothing special inside, just mediocre internally and musically … Lots of better placed on London to waste money on

Such a classy place! I love this place — great place to meet up with friends and grab a delicious drink. This place draws in a cool and interesting crowd of folks– would definitely come back.

Came here with some out-of-town friends to partake in the 3 courses + 1 mojito for £30 deal. The staff was incredibly pleasant and professional. The waitress was very attentive and quickly corrected an order that I screwed up due to misreading the menu. We were seated right by the stage/dance floor and were serenaded by live Cuban music. Definitely a date-type place; my vision is 20⁄20 and the mood-lighting made reading the menu an struggle.

First Floridita restaurant was opened in Cuba 150 years ago in the city of Havana. Despite its Cuban roots, this place is also a perfect mixture of South American and Caribbean and even Mexican delights both for the palate as well as the ears :) Dining there was the most pleasurable experience. The décor and comfort were really impressive. When entering one gets a little stamp with the restaurants logo featuring letters RF like in the prototype restaurant in Cuba(photo attached). South American music, salsa, reggae, jazz, blues, and many more make you want to move your dancing feet as soon as you enter Floridita by descending towards the main floor down the round stairs. Wine menu includes a variety of my favourite Chilean and Argentinian wines but not only. Apart from their main menu one can also try some excellent Argentinian beef. The dish shown on my photo is a Chateaubriand served with aromatic mushrooms and Béarnaise sauce, rocket and sweet potato fries. Absolutely delicious! Not to mention the famous cheesecake — simply mouth watering. Moreover, their selection of drinks and cocktails is mind blowing! I really doubt you would find something that they do not have. I would imagine it is quite pricey to dine there. Although the menu does not reveal prices(which I found pretty odd) judging by the price of cocktails themselves it’s not a restaurant you’ll leave with a heavy wallet. Though I haven’t seen the bill — so cannot say. The dance floor is indeed small — however I did not find it to be a problem. People were dancing anywhere! Live music is definitely a treat in Floridita and I found their service staff most pleasant and efficient. It may not be the best location to have serious conversations — it is loud. It is however surely a perfect spot for dancing all night long which is exactly what I did!!!

This is the IT place for salsa based on what I have heard. So went to check it out on a Saturday night with a few girlfriends. It was very happening even at around 10 o’clock. It is a bit strange to me to see a mix of activities happening in this club: there were people having a full meal, people standing around chatting and of course, people showing off their salsa moves, or lack there of, on the dance floor. I think this is a place for less serious salsa dancers and people come for the entertainment rather than just to dance, as the dance floor is quite small. What I do love about the place is the live band. It is a really good salsa band and totally brings the place alive. Overall, it is a cool place for a fun night out.

Birthday celebration ! Picture of the birthday girl main meal, deleted my food photo of belly pork. Lovely atmosphere, décor of a 1920 lounge seem like another world once you enter and then come outside i the heart of westend. The food was good but wasn’t mind blowing amazing. They used a lot if crush sea salt over the food, even the butter, which was not needed at all, wafer thin mixed slice of hard bread. I went with the 2course meal for £32 but it was a friends birthday and we paid for her meal so it came up to around £36.50 I chose a main and desert. My main meal was belly pork and the a small size and a lot of fat and not a lot of meat! The sauce accompanied with it and some fancy crips on top. let’s say I’m still looking for my food lol. My friends went with the 3 lamb cutlets and it was well portioned. so I don’t know if it’s was a luck of the draw when it came to the main meal, but it wasn’t enough. Some of my friends ordered fries and they were so small and again it was just not portion right. Anyway dessert wasn’t that bad, I went with the banana bread with fudge sauce and vanilla eye cream, it was ok and my friend had ordered the cheese cake and it was lovely. Staff lovely and environment cool, food just ok.

The salsa dance lesson’s on Tuesday are brilliant. An amazing value for money. The food is wonderful, and the place has great atmosphere. The Bar upstairs is a great setting for a few drinks, and the dance floor downstairs is where you’ll end up. Either watching or joining in

The cocktails upstairs seem better than downstairs, but downstairs has the live music. Good atmosphere and experience. Anecdote: one night I saw an engageg lady lose her engagement ring. She was concerned for the first 30 minutes, and she didn’t seem to find it, but after that she stopped worrying and got back to drinking. I feel that story sums up Floridita…

Big fun at Floridita! Stiff entry fee of £10 but it’s worth it. It’s a big venue. The nightclub is downstairs with a live salsa band and, so, therefore lots of salsa dancing! Plenty of seating, plenty of room to move. Free cloak room. Adequate bar service and adequate drink. But it’s a fun venue especially if you’re prepared to give salsa a go!

If you are in London and want to experience the best Latin night then Floridita is hands down the best in town. I may be biased as this is one of my regular haunts and I have been coming here for years, but everyone I either bring here or recommend this place to has agreed with me. As you walk in and down the spiral staircase you feel can tell the place just oozes class. It’s nothing short of glamorous. The live Latin music hits you and immediately sets the tone for the rest of your night. The bar staff are always friendly and there is a wide range of cocktails available to suit your needs. If you have trouble deciding, as many do, you can always ask them to recommend something based on your preferences. There are many people here who either dance salsa professionally or are very advanced social dancers and come every weekend. If you are new to salsa or only a beginner don’t let that intimidate you as they are always willing to teach you a few moves or you could just people watch as you enjoy your cocktail. The atmosphere is always great and you can feel the energy in the place as everyone usually has a great night here. The food is very good but if you come to a place of this standard in central London it’s actually quite reasonably priced. If you’re going to eat here and then spend the night dancing and drinking an endless amount of cocktails then yes you probably could spend a large chunk of your rent money but for a great night out and a unique Latin experience it is well worth it. When you get paid, go on a Friday or Saturday night, I personally prefer Saturday nights, and spend an evening drinking exotic cocktails and dancing the night away. You won’t regret it!

I’m conflicted. Dinner for two was overpriced and the food was not very good but I had such a fun time! I suppose this venue is better for after-hours cocktails and dancing as opposed to an evening meal. It was my first time having Cuban food though, so I’m still delighted I tried this place. BF and I each ordered 3 courses for 38 pounds: scallops, avocado & palm heart salad, chateaubriand for two(with supplemental charge), side of skinny fries and sweet potato fries, vanilla cheesecake and chocolate gateaux with ice cream. and LOTS of cocktails!

Their Romero empanadas are very tasty, and the mojitos are quite good. They offer Diplomatico rum which I had with coke on the rocks; this Venezuelan spirit never ceases to satisfy my rum cravings. Their music is good, however, they should dedicate more time to actually playing salsa. They started out fine, and moved to playing reggeaton and other music. The one day that I went with a group of friends to enjoy salsa, Floriditas did not play many salsa songs. My friend was ready to show off her salsa moves, and did not have the chance to really do it. They at least played Joe Arroyo’s ‘La Rebelion’ song, and made my night taking me back to my Colombian roots. Additionally, they did have a Cuban band playing salsa for a little while… very much appreciated. I wasn’t much impressed with the service though. The place was nearly empty which I found weird for a Friday night. Also, if you’re used to American or Latin American prices for Latino food and drinks, this place will alarm you with their prices… $ 18 dollars for a mojito? What?!

Me and my mate that I met in Miami walked pasted this place and decided to come in based on the good times we had in Florida and were trying to relive those moments. And why not, it’s Floridita… must be like a bar in Florida no? Or maybe we were already drunk. he he. I had the feeling when I walked into this place that I should have stopped by the cash machine and tapped myself out. But this was not the case. When we got there, they were still on happy hour, and after happy hour, the prices were still reasonable. And I had one of the best tasting cocktails ever. I can’t remember the name and can’t find it online, but it was a cucumber concoction. And it was LOVELY!!! The staff were really nice and helpful. They went out of their way to mention to order from the happy hour menu rather than trying to squeeze money from us. that was nice! I want that cucumber drink. now!

Ok I seriously love this place. Here is why: 1. It has amazing salsa dancing floor which is huge and full of beat that will make you move like never before. 2. Great cocktails — they take their pride in cocktails. I ordered a pornstar martini, they wouldn’t make it because another bar who invented it(I suspect LAB) is nearby and it would look bad if they made someone else’s cocktail. So apart from classics, everything you see on menu is recipe made in Floridita! 3. No cover charge/no problem getting in ONLY if you need a cocktail and won’t go to the dance floor downstairs. If you feel like salsa — be prepared for a cover charge, but honestly — it’s so worth it. Three is a charm and these make me going back to this place again and again — it’s just way too much fun & great location!

This place is very red, very festive, and open late. I got an almond-based cocktail(I think an almond martini), and it was delicious. The party next to us were very drunk, making a lot of noise, and playing some kind of amusing game.

This venue is split into two on the top floor there is a lavishly decorated bar and seating area that is a nice quiet place to have a drink and is open till late. Downstairs there is an opulently decorated seating area, cocktail bar and a stage where live bands perform. This has very ‘American’ Jazz feel with white leather sofa’s and booth and music memorabilia on the walls. The atmosphere is vibrant and warm. I have no idea what the food is like, but I would definitely recommend coming here for a drink. The cocktails here are very tasty and the staff are approachable and informed with an extensive liquor selection. I think that this would be a wonderful first date venue.
