Fantastic atmosphere, easily found a spot for 10, staff was wonderful. The cod and chips was great, veggie burrito fantastic. They ended up bring us out the shared nachos without cheese or guacamole, when we let them know they took care of us and quickly replaced our plate. Dessert was great, it was my sisters birthday and she really enjoyed her meal. Definitely would come again!

Good lunch specials. I went on a Tuesday. Had a meat pie and it came with a free pint of beer. Affordable fare. I actually enjoyed the sound of the train over the building. Thought it gave it character lol.

Standard pub fare, good fish and chips. I just struggle with ordering at the bar when the place is really busy — there’s no order to the ordering. And I still need to get used to the system(order drinks and food at the bar, take the drinks, food will be brought to you — but ideally you already grabbed a table before you ordered). Good atmosphere, watched a football match with a bunch of Liverpool fans while there.

Nice pub ambiance with decent pub food(we all had meat pies and we were all quite happy with them. A nice selection of ales(which we enthusiastically sampled). Friendly staff and convenient location made this a candidate for a return visit.

2 stars. Ouch. I’ve eaten all over the world and this place ranks pretty low on cleanliness, service, and food quality. Saturday night and tables are dripping with spilled drinks, millions of wet drink rings and dirty glasses. It’s 7pm not too crowded. Girl behind the bar doesn’t know if they have IPA beers or what they are. Huh? Ok selection of beer for most peeps but we only found one IPA from Scotland(Brewdog I think) that was solid. Food– how can a country famous for chips do such a lousy job at them? Frozen tasteless and barely warm. Fish not much better. Not the pub experience we hoped for based on reviews.

The interior of this pub has a beauty to that it almost takes you back in time. It’s built under the DLR station, and I’m presuming it used to be railway arches, as there is a section at the back which has exposed red brick, and you can see the series of arches. It’s nice to sit and imagine what used to take place there. Also, you can hear the DLRs rumbling above you, which makes it very atmospheric. Other areas of the pub are nicely done too with lots of little dookits to sit in. There’s one area which has wallpaper that looks like books, so it’s like a tiny library. Sounds naff, but it actually works very well. And another area which has nicely upholstered old fashioned chairs — like a little baronial style hideway. The night we were there, it was decorated for Halloween, and they had really done a good job on it, with lots of spider webs and beasties. So it seems like a fun place, with a sense of humour. There are 2 very large bars, and they sell a range of real ales. Maybe I was a bit full from my dinner perhaps, but there was nothing that really caught my interest, so I had a Guinness. This was the only stout/porter that they had on draught, which was a bit disappointing. I do like a nice strong porter. The employee at the bar who served us was really nice and friendly, so we felt very welcomed initially. Unfortunately this didn’t continue. We’d sat in the back bar, and after about 5 minutes, another employee came round, turned all the lights on, switched off the music, ad told us she was closing that bar and could we move to the front bar. Fair enough I suppose, when it’s a big bar and a Wednesday night, but when we moved round to the front bar, and sat in the raised section, two other employees started cleaning the tables with skooshy spray. I hate that! I think it’s really rude to clean so obviously when customers are trying to enjoy their pint in a relaxing atmosphere, and it was only just after 10pm, so a bit early perhaps. I don’t want to be breathing in skooshy spray. So we felt a bit chased out, and left. I would go back, and give it a second chance, as it initially did look promising.

Basic fried or baked pub grub, not much good to say about the food — although they feature a large selection of beers(if you’re into that.)

After finishing up at the Tower Bridge, my family and I really wanted to eat at a pub. The closest was The Minories which was a short walk down the street from Tower Bridge. When you walk in, it gives off a really old pub feel which I enjoyed. Another thing that I enjoyed was the sound of the metro going over the building at times lol It might sound weird but it was pretty cool in my opinion. As far as ordering, you order at the bar and you let them know where you’re sitting and they’ll bring your dish to you. We tried a few items. First was the Fish and chips which was HUGE. Two big pieces of breaded and deep fried cod with fries. They were seasoned well and had the perfect crisp on them. Next we had the Bangers and Mash. This was just alright in my opinion, but my cousin loved it so it really depends on the person. Third, we had the shrimp scampi which we thought would be pasta but they were like shrimp nuggets with the scampi sauce inside. Really good but unexpected. Lastly, I ordered the bacon, shrimp, and asparagus risotto. The risotto was definitely my favorite! Packed with flavor! It made for a great lunch on a beautiful day in London!

First pub on arrival to London so far son good! Staff very friendly. Fish and chips were delicious crispy and hot from the kitchen. I asked the barmaid for recommended dark ale and she was on point with hobgoblin. The scampi was okay I had better. The mashed peas were a surprise. Like my peas mashed than whole!

This is a good solid pub and open on the weekends, this pub is massive and has at least 2 bars, they serve good food. A main positive for me is they show football matches, but this might be the opposite for people. They sometimes only show it in the back bar so worth checking with the staff if you are looking for a match. This is chain pub, but Stonegate Pubs seems to have a good idea on what makes a good pub. So if you are in the area and don’t fancy the expensive St. Katharine Docks, I’d recommend here.

Where’s the fish?!? What a disappointment. Went for fish and chips based on a recommendation and what a mistake that was. Lots of greasy, soggy batter with little fish to be found. Chips were stale and limp. A shame really, such a cute place with tons of potential. Too bad the food doesn’t live up to the surroundings.

This place surprised me! I only saw it from the front entrance near the tub stop and assumed it was quite small. After I grabbed a pint and walked through the inside, I noticed there was an amazing back beer garden. Plenty of room to stand or sit at picnic tables with your groups of friends or co-workers. There was quite a different crowd from the bars right across the street. A much more relaxed crowd with far less businessmen. Cool place to have a drink after work on a Friday!

With a great authentic pub few this place will give you all you need for some good bar food and cold drinks! Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly! They are located just seconds from the London bridge and London tower which makes it a great stop to grab a drink!

I’ve actually worked there for a while a few years ago, so I can say that the food quality isn’t always the best — aca don’t go there when you see it’s busy ;) The atmosphere is cool, it’s under a DLR station so it looks different than other pubs in London! There are a lot of bankers there during the week and tons of tourists during lunch time!

I was strolling for a proper pub for ad stumbled upon the minorities. Cheap and really taste real ales on tap and a very nice staff. The food came really quickly, was steaming hot and quite tasty. Definitely a recommended stop

Been there while visiting London five years ago. The place is just beautiful, close to the Tower Bridge, under an old tunnel, I think there use to be a rail trail or something as cool. Very cozy and impressive. Great menu, well served food, nice ambiances, good prices — even better if you consider the stunning location. Awesome place to watch football. No complaints about customer service, but toilets were creepy.

Went here on Monday night as we were staying at a hotel nearby. Was perfect for what we needed — a friendly; local; baby friendly(we had a one year old in our group) pub. The food was nice enough — I had the scampi and chips; the mushy peas accompanying were a little too lukewarm though unfortunately. The table service was quick and friendly but the bar service to order food and drinks could’ve been quicker. Handy location as right under Tower Gateway DLR station and very close to Tower Hill tube and walking distance from Tower Bridge. Would only return if I was in the area.

Was with my cousin last Friday and his wife etc and was in desperate need to get out of the baltic winds that had descended on London for the day. I also needed a pint. Of wine. Easy to find, just under Tower Gateway station, and spacious inside, a couple of ppl ate and seemed satisfied with their meals; I had sweet potato fries which did the job. Friendly staff, not too crazy on a Saturday prevening; would come back if in the area with an hour or so to kill for a beer.

Great ambient pub that my dad and I stopped in at for lunch and a pint on the way back from a visit to the nearby Tower Bridge. We tried a few other pubs along the way but this was the only one with a relaxed environment and available seating. We grabbed a table a little distance away from the bar. The first thing you’ll notice is that it’s cavernous; it feels like a former tube tunnel, as the ceiling is arched with exposed brick and plaster. Every 15 minutes or so you will feel and hear the train rumbling overhead. This may be a turnoff for some, but I quite enjoyed it! My dad and I both ordered the club sandwiches. The place also has a wide selection of craft beers on tap, and the barman patiently let me sample 3 or 4 before I settled on one. The club sandwiches were great(and even had a sausage in them). Stop in for a pint or lunch if you’re coming back toward the Tower Hill tube after a visit to the Tower Bridge. It’s on the way!

Restaurant was VERY hot. The only outdoor seating available would have been surrounded by smokers. Food was decent — I’m not a huge fan of pub food but I’d say it was all edible and if you’re all about this type of food, you might enjoy it.

What else?

Toiletten ok. Gute Stimmung nach Feierabend. Fernseher mit sportprogramm in jedem Winkel.

Also. Aus Not sind wir dort rein. Von außen typisch British. Von innen absolut British. Direkt unter der Tube. Tolles Ambiente. Als Starter the Combo sharer. Was für 2 Personen. Die burger auch Super und die Bedienung absolut freundlich. Das Bier sowieso Meine Empfehlung !
