Not a bad experience but it’s dressed up to be something more. This bar comes across as a swanky, upmarket place to eat but then doesn’t quite deliver. It was comfortable, smart and clean, 241 cocktails before 7.30 and the food was good, limited menu but good options. The service however was pretty slow(one waitress was on the ball but the rest seemed to be sauntering around not knowing what to do with themselves), and the atmosphere was a bit flat. Overall I enjoyed the visit but wouldn’t rave about it.

Came here for dinner and cocktails and was appalled at the service. We were the only people in the restaurant, there was more staff than guests, but they let our drinks go empty and made no effort to provide us more. The only service they performed promptly was taking away empty dishes, as if they wanted us out there quickly. They even cleared one person’s drink glass before it was empty! We left without getting any more drinks, since it was clear they didn’t want to serve us. Food got mixed reviews and was overpriced. My artichoke and spinach pastry was particularly bad.

We came here for my housemate’s birthday after she experienced the sister bar in Fitzrovia, and it was quite disappointing. Not a big choice of cocktails — quite overpriced but potent and tasty enough. The music selection was random to say the least, and wow this place is DARK. I actually had to feel my way down the couple of steps from the eating area(which was empty, though it was 9.30pm) to the drinking area so that I wouldn’t fall over. The clientele appeared quite posey in my opinion, and were mostly middle aged. No space to dance, and a fight broke out as we were leaving(which started downstairs — an area we didn’t explore so perhaps our experience was too limited and it is a different story down there!). Overall I wasn’t very impressed, and we left after one drink as we just weren’t feeling it.
