The Fish Shop

Judging a book by it’s cover: I expected this fish market to provide fresh seafood at high prices since it appears to supply the fish directly to the adjoining Fish Restaurant. The fish is indeed fresh. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable, especially given the Notting Hill neighborhood. Don’t expect wholesale bargain prices but comparable to nearby Whole Foods with better quality to show for it.
Here is the added bonus: extremely friendly and knowledgable staff (at least for the times I’ve come here), quick service, and again, a surprisingly fresh, albeit small, (and affordable) selection of herbs and produce. Not the same variety as wholesale, but I’m still a regular. There are a few selections of marinated fish and artisanal canned goods as well.
