This pub is quintessentially English. The owner is extremely friendly and warm. We came in here for a few pints in a nice, cozy atmosphere. That’s exactly what we got. Great place to relax with friends, and we were told they have a live music scene on the weekends. Sounds fun. Will be back sometime (hopefully soon).

An old fashioned traditional looking pub, with a concrete outdoor area, out back. This Shepheard Neame has a rare East End charm to it and the rare willingness to serve non brewery beers (such as TT Gold and a stout from. someone) adds to its charm.

A very fine Shepherd Neame pub in the Old Ford part of Bow. Under new management since early 2008. It offers Shepherd Neame beers as well as Oranjeboom lager. Music is from the landlords’ own collections, and there is a beer garden (used by smokers). On the first Sunday of each month there is a jazz Jam Session, starts at 8.00pm free entry. It comes complete with a [BookCrossing Zone].
