Quite simply, the sausage rolls are to die for. Worth a trip across London, and well worth the £2.75 price tag given the meat content: they’re basically the biggest chunks of organic sausagemeat you’ll ever eat, with the most delicious slither of pastry on the outside — sensational. I buy one every time I go past, which hasn’t been great for my waistline, but has been great for my smile!

Everything here is good. Which is a real problem for me, because I can never decide what to order. The pizza is huge and like £3 for a(massive-cheese-covered) slice. The quiches are perfect and the sausage rolls have apparently been voted the best in London. This last fact has since been confirmed by Dave A as he buys at least 2 everytime we’re in Northcote Road. I haven’t tried any of the sweet stuff yet, since I’ve been a) too busy stuffing my face with pizza, and b) a little late to get a donut on multiple occasions(sold out, my friend). But I plan to rectify the situation very soon.

How is it I’ve never reviewed this place? Breadstall is a Northcote Road staple! Serving up tasty breads, cakes, pizza, and all sorts of other baked delights from their streetside set-up, they’re the best place around for baked treats. Try the sausage rolls — you won’t be disappointed(they’re amaaaaazing). Lately, they even sometimes have a little table set up just north up the road on St. John’s Rd as a «popup» location for those near CJ who are too lazy to walk the extra quarter mile! Yum!

Amazing sweet and savoury carb heaven! Not cheap but great quality. The cupcakes are superb and the pizza smells so amazing I want one every time I go past!

Does what it says«on the tin«(boom boom) breads, cakes, sandwiches, pizza, et cetera. The pizzas are particularly good one that had a herby sausage and potato topping was singularly excellent but I would be a little careful of some offerings. My other half had a tuna mayo baguette from here and was very ill afterwards probably not the best choice from somewhere that doesn’t have refrigeration, but not helpful of me to point it out, I gather. Since 95% of the goodies don’t need chilling, this shouldn’t really be a huge issue.

The breadstall is THE go-to place for bread and more along Northcote. Pastries, pizza and sausage rolls like nowhere else round out their selection.
