It’s nice to have a Tesco Express so close to the Tower Hotel, but it is what it is. It’s an Express, so it’s small and quick, but lacks variety. I was able to stock my room fridge and buy snacks and a few toiletries while I was there, but I still had to find a pharmacy to get many things that this Tesco Express doesn’t carry. This is a really busy location, so the shelves tend to be rather messy, and they’re often out of things as well. If you’re an American and don’t have a newer credit card, don’t try using the self-checkout, as the you’ll have to go back through the line since the cashier will have to run your card manually. That’s no knock on this Tesco though, more on how behind we are in terms of technology as Americans, so just an FYI to save you some time. This location closes pretty early, so get your shopping done early. There is security on duty after dark for extra safety, which is nice, but probably not necessary. This Tesco Express isn’t the cleanest, but if you’re next door in the Tower Hotel, it will be your only option within the immediate area.
