While visiting London I noticed long lines outside Taza throughout the day. Usually a good sign so I thought I’d check it out. I had the lamb shawarma which I think was the best meal that I had in London! Highly recommended.

Tazaaaaa. Oh if only at least half of London places were like this. Quick service no messing around suddenly you have a great wrap with massive salad in your hand and Hyde Park just around the corner. My bf’s personal record is 3 Tazas but if you would have to choose one I would recommend either falafel or kofta. Kofta is not always available though. All the wraps are really cheap compare to anywhere around which is another reason why it’s always full. Love this place!

Sometimes when I want shawarma, I want to sit down and be waited upon. I want a complimentary plate of olives and pickles, and an order of hummus and pita bread. But then, sometimes, I want the best shawarma in London. And that is what you get at Taza. Eating there is not comfortable. Shawarma is about all they have on the menu that interests me, but I keep coming back from all the way across the city and eating in the park just down the street from Taza if the weather is nice. The chicken is tender and flavorful, the cabbage salad and onions perfectly seasoned, the lavash deliciously grilled. Whatever sauces they use are the right blend of garlicky and spicy. This is the shawarma I dream about when I’m not in London.

Goody goody, marvellous. The kebabs here are tasty. I do drop by now and again and i’d say that it’s the quality of the lamb. It’s just a simple kebab shop, but the quality is excellent. It’s better if you park around the corner and do a quick take away. In that respect they are fast. Very reasonably priced.

Incredible food. Amazing, friendly service. Great prices. Came here after Unilocaling food in the area open on a Sunday night and this place popped up. Got the vegetarian plate that was recommended and it was so amazingly good. Service was wonderful, the guy was so helpful, fast, attentive and nice and the place is a quant little spot. If it’s a busy day or cold out you might now have a place to sit but other than that definitely go!

Stopped in here a couple times for chicken shawarma and lamb kofta kebabs. The flavors were great, though I would have liked a bit more lamb in the wrap. That said, the prices are quite reasonable and the location is great. There is some seating in the restaurant, as well. I did really like having the salad options you can add on your own(onions, sauces, etc).

This place is GREAT and really fast once you get in the door, there’s usually a smallish line but well worth the wait! Go with the Lamb Shawarma and get it with all the sauces they recommend then when you get it, along the wall are big tubs of the best little pepperocinis EVER!!! And you can get as many as you like plus some really good stuff that’s like a finely diced pico de gallo, I always load up on both! They also have sour cream. If you find yourself on Queensway stop in! You nor your wallet will be disappointed. Cheers!

The shawarma is incredible! Very cramped, but hey, it’s London. I strongly recommend it!

What a great & sweet welcome from the gorgeous young man behind the counter! He made my day by serving me a delicious chicken shawarma with loads of Tahini sauce and pickled peppers. Loved the shawarma and it costs only £3.50(which is a reasonable price for London) :)

We came here only because food options are limited at 11:30 pm. Taza closes at midnight on Saturdays thankfully. We only ordered the lamb shawarma with works which included hot tangy banana peppers, onions, shredded salad, tahini sauce, garlic sauce and hot sauce. The shawarma is pressed and warmed on a panini grill. Because we came late, there wasn’t much lamb left so we got a lot of burnt ends and bits that weren’t very tasty. I will probably have to try it again but earlier in the day so I can understand why this place gets such great reviews on their shawarmas. They had a large selection of fresh juices available, but we didn’t try any. Prices are very reasonable, and makes up for it not being the best kebab I’ve ever eaten. The guys working behind the counter are really nice. We were offered free salad since we were going to be one of their last customers for the evening. This is a great place to come to when nothing else is open and you need to grab a quick cheap bite.

What a jewel hidden in the overly touristy Paddington area! It was open on Christmas day and it’s got great reviews from a few Unilocalers I know and trust, so we went for a quick lunch. It did not disappoint, the lamb shawarma was seriously amazing… The meat texture and seasoning was just right! They also make freshly squeeze juice in store. I asked for pineapple mixed with apple and that resulted in some very thing fresh and delicious. Strongly recommend this hole-in-the-wall little place if you happened to be in the area.

Best schawarma on Queensway! Very small inside and each time we passed it, there was a line to order food. Food made as you ordered it ensuring it was made correctly. Cooks all wore gloves, too! Very reasonable priced!

This is hands-down the best meal I’ve had during my stay in London, and it’s practically right around the corner from my hotel. I’m used to NYC style gyros and shawarmas, but this takes it to a whole new level. First of all, they press the lamb and pita on a panini press, so the thing does NOT get soggy or fall apart. Got everything on it and all the flavors combined wonderfully. Also, the line was out the door and checking the reviews here beforehand made me realize quite quickly that I was in for a real treat. I took it to go & devoured it in the comfort of my hotel room. The whole thing may feel small(especially for Americans), but it was the perfect size for me. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to ordering a shawarma ever again back home, because Taza is now the standard.

The staff is incredibly helpful and the food is amazing! The chicken wrap is incredibly delicious and all that is for a fair price. The chicken and lamb wraps are only £3.50. If you see the queue reaching out of the door, don’t be alarmed. The staff works in a tempo that is close to that of almighty fast food gods. A great place for a shawarma to satisfy the late night hunger. Highly recommendable.

About 6 years ago I was studying abroad in France but took some time to explore Europe. My first and last stop was London. While visiting the area I had no clue where to eat, but I saw this little shop with a line out the door. I though hmm… There is a good amount of people waiting to eat here so it must be good. Boy that was the best decision I made. I still dream of Taza’s sandwiches. I don’t think I’ve had a better shawarma since. That white sauce with a it of spicy red sauce… This will be the first stop when I make my way back to London.

Craving a late night snack after a concert at royal albert hall, we stumbled upon Taza based upon Unilocal reviews. And we were not disappointed. We tried the chicken schwarmas with all the topping, which included various sauces and cabbage. They were tasty, not too spicy. The prices were very reasonable. 3,50£ for one schwarma, which was enough to fill me up. The place itself is small, typical of other hole in the wall places in London. The employees themselves were not too friendly, very dry and wanting to just move you along without explaining much. But this is understandable for a busy place and culture. And in the end, the food was worth it.

Having sampled Taza twice, I can heartily endorse the chicken shawarma and the fresh squeezed orange juice. Don’t be put off by the queues, these guys work fast. Everything’s made to order so you’ll watch your pita being sliced open, the chicken put in and the sandwich being pressed into the grill(which adds an extra dimension — crunch — to the shawarma). Taza’s sandwiches are on the small side so if you’re fairly hungry you may consider ordering two. And I recommend taking them to go; there are a few seats but they’re really cramped. Next time I want to try the mixed shawarma(lamb and chicken).

I thought the food was great. Stayed nearby on a recent business trip and stumbled on this little gem while walking around on Queensway. I had a chicken shawarma with everything on it and couple«pieces» of falafel. I’d recommend knowing what you want as I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode with the ordering queue. The guy running the spit was as unfriendly as they come — I got him out of sorts by apparently asking for a non-standard order. Fortunately I still got my «soup» and wasn’t asked to «come back… 1 year». The guy running the register was very friendly though and helped out this Yankee tourist. I’ll definitely make an effort to go eat there again if I’m ever back in the area.

This is probably one of the better schwarmas I have tried in London. Cheap, juicy, and tasty. Get it with all the fixings and enjoy! Next time around I will add some more hot sauce for that extra kick… but as is, still a delight to eat. Unlike other reviewers, we did not encounter bad service or long lines.
