Just a huge sub-​warehouse sized place to buy rather rubbishy carpets and other furnishings. That’s pretty harsh, but honestly, after wandering around, I didn’t seen anything I liked. It’s the kind of place you’d find on a 60s industrial estate, except it’s right by shops.
You can pick a colour of rug. But I’m not in the market for rugs. Unless I found a beat-​up cheapy old persian one, I’m not that fussed. So, Surplus City didn’t fuss me too much I’m afraid.
