Words cannot describe the joy that awaits you on the inside of the 98 pence store. They laugh in the overpriced face of Poundland and brazenly undercut competitors, the 99p shop just across the street, it doesn’t pretend to be cheap, it is cheap, really cheap. Today I just bought some glue(98p) but tomorrow, it could be anything; light bulbs, sewing kits, underwear, colouring pencils, cooking pots, you name it, they’ve got it(for 98p). There’s not really much else to say. The shop is clean, well laid out and the biggest bargain centre in Dalston, which is saying a lot. Rumour has it that somewhere in London there is a 97p store, but even if it does exist, in all honesty, I think that anything under 98p is probably just going to be poor quality.
