Starbucks currently have a 2 for the price of one on Triple Chocolate Hot Chocolate offer until 14th February. The idea being that you share the second one with someone special. There’s also a notice board where you can write a message on a pink post-it note(looked like the kids had a field day on there). Both drinks happily ended up in my belly. It’s made of dark chocolate with a drizzle of chocolate sauce and cream. I had the no cream, soya version and it tasted a lot richer than their standard hot chocolate, quite nice, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to hunt down a Starbucks to have it again.

Mobile ordering has revolutionised the morning commute. This Starbucks store supports mobile ordering through the app. Using the app you can order ahead and by the time the get to the store from the tube station your drink will be ready by the time you arrive in the store. The staff are friendly enough and the service is good enough. There is plenty of seating downstairs and on the upstairs mezzanine. There is also free Starbucks wifi. Sign up for a Starbucks card and get free rewards after every 15th purchase. Oh and you get access to the seasons menus before anyone else. Occasionally they will send you free drinks during the week. Oh and if you order by mobile, they ALWAYS get your order right

Not sure what to make of this place. There is literally about three on this road and this looks the most modern, spacious and unique but lacks the charm. Certainly once through the big doorway you are greeted at the counter. Yet the most friendliest. The Egg Nog was great as part of their new festive selection. But the back seating which also has an outdoor bit(too cold to go out now) was OK. The upstairs was nicer. Even had a bit looking out onto entrance. I think I wasn’t getting a cosy vibe here but the egg nog keep the rating acceptably good.

Church of Starbucks. I dig the name. Of the Starbucks Trifecta in the area, this Starbucks location is my favorite. I love the high ceilings and the friendly staff. I fear it is not long now before they know me by name and you know what, that’s OK. It makes me feel special when they know my name even though it’s never spelled correctly. Service here is always fast and the coffee is served hotter than at the other two locations(or perhaps this is in my head?). The only negative about Church of Starbucks is that I wish it was a bit closer to the M&S end of the block, like where Halifax is. This would make it oh so easy to do my Supermarket Trifecta shop + Starbucks run.

Slowest Starbucks I have been to. Staff not really reliable, they often forget things. I won’t be going back

This is awful, there are so many amazing, totally locally run coffee shops in Dalston. They are run by people who know the area, know the people and who love what they do. On top of that Starbucks coffee is awful, there are many local roasteries(sorry about the spelling) who make fantastic coffee. I hope people boycott this place and carry on using the local, independent coffee places.

Starbucks is about to open up a franchise in the new Dalston square Hackney. I think this is a great idea. Dalston is becoming really popular and for it to grow even more it needs brands like Starbucks which works and helps to community. The scheme Starbucks is offering for the Dalston Square Hackney will be owned by a local business person and will be unique as it won’t be owned by the Starbucks company it self. Cant wait for this store to open.

This location is hereby deemed Church of Starbucks. I mean, its a Starbucks, but it is a Starbucks in an OLDCHURCH. That has to give it cool points, no? The good stuff: 1) Good studying Starbucks. Lots of tables, plugs(but upstairs with windows, which is nice). Couches, toilets, etc. 2) Small amount of outdoor seating in both the front and the back(which boasts a meager patio). 3) Right across from Angel Tube Station. 4) Two stories. The bad stuff: Gets way too hot upstairs on hot days. Free wifi with Starbucks card.
