I did hesitate when picking this place to eat, seeing the mediocre Unilocal reviews, but convenience won over sense, and so I ended up coming here for lunch. The décor downstairs is lovely and it’s deceptively large, but the service was kind of weird — changing wait staff every time, which led to a sort of kaleidoscope feel. Our food came really(too) quickly — within about 4 minutes, which along with the stale tasting noodles made me think that the food had been microwaved(and rice noodles NEVER heat well in such a way). My buddy’s mixed veggie stirfry was better tasting but about 95% broccolli which he sadly dislikes. So I ended up eating most of his greens while he ate mostly plain rice. All in all, disappointing…

I had a craving for pad kee mao, so ordered a take out for lunch. It was the worst I’ve ever had. The noodles were dry, and the entire dish was simply tasteless. It lacked any of the flavourful tastes typical of this dish, and I was left eating what felt like just plain, dry rice noodles. Some of the ingredients were so sub par that I found myself spitting it out. I’m a huge fan of Thai food and all this coming from someone like me must mean something. The service, on the other hand, was good. I ordered over the phone to save time, and they had the dish ready to go. I just wish the food were better. It’s such a shame because I have yet to find a good Thai place in my office area.

Eight colleagues chose this delightful Thai restaurant on London Wall Street. Not busy on a Monday evening. Most excellent meal with intense Thai flavors. Chose the most excellent Neua Phad Phrig, Stir-fried Beef with Onion, Chili and Garlic, £9. Pic uploaded. For appetizer, chose the Tom Kha Koong/Kai, Lemon Grass Soup with Prawns, £6. Pic uploaded. Stick with beer or wine; unable to make an authentic martini. Small gripe: No beers on draft. Rubbish and rude service. Place is in the basement and it’s dark, hot and unpleasant. Food is so so but the staff is annoying, slow and unfriendly. Certainly NOT recommended.

Great thai food, in a glorious setting with a helpful service. Not the best thai place ever, but close: p)

Great affordable Thai restaurant right in the middle of the City. From the sidewalk, you wouldn’t know how big the restaurant is as its all in the basement. The service here is prompt, the food here is pretty decent, and portion sizes are good too. Best of all, the prices don’t break the bank, especially the main courses which are good value for money. The curries are so-so, but the pad thai is well cooked. Starters are a bit on the pricey side but very delicious.

There’s days when I’ll sit and think about some of the most delectable and flavorful meals on earth, and my mouth will water for a taste of Sri Thai. It is hands down the BEST Thai that I’ve had anywhere in the world outside of Thailand. They have a delightful lobster dish with curry that is to die for. Their portions are great, the drinks selections are excellent, and the service is above par. Take Barcap IB training, + long days + stress = much needed unwind time after work — Sri Thai is it! Awesome awesome awesome place, and you will leave wishing that you had more room is your stomach to eat more of the delicious food. Note bene: my girlfriend has every food allergy I’ve ever heard of– some of them include soy, wheat, peanuts, and I think even oil… something crazy. Anyway, she told our server at Sri Thai and the chef came out, personally greeted us and took down a list of her food allergies. She ensured that she could make her a customized meal that would not aggravate her allergies, and she was too thrilled. Top notch service with some slammin food.
