Delicious Thai food! Is located inside the alley, it was kind of hard to find at the begining, but we managed to get there before they close down the kitchen~ waitress was kind enough to let us know to order fast before they shut down the kitchen, we got there like one hour before they were close. Very authentic thai food, sure did satisfied our appetite~~

This place is a gem. Located just minutes away from Liverpool Street station, the food is cheap and good in a very nice environment. I recommend the prawn mango salad, the beef noodles and the dumplings! There were some items that were a bit hit and miss though(we were a group of 4). The service was excellent — I think the highlight for me was when the waiter showed up with a straw because I was scooping up the dredges of the salad dressing — and the environment was very affable. Highly recommended!

always wanted to try the laksa at this place, I have to say– the deco and food here is made for white people, who works around the area. seafood wasn’t particularly fresh in the laksa, lacked coconut milk and spices and fragrance for all that matters. £9.50 for a bowl of noodle soup? I can pass.

Me and three friends visited Ekachai last night after I walked past the restaurant the evening before and saw it was cosily secluded yet reassuring busy. Set just off the main Bishopsgate drag it is in an ideal location for pre/post drinks and catching the tube home afterwards. The restaurant itself is lovely and cosy, nice, simple design and modest looking. The menu is the same with a good selection to appeal to almost every taste of Asian food. I would highly recommend the roast duck rice dish I had. My friends all sampled different dishes, beef, soup, dim sum, crab and said they were all lovely. All in all the place is relatively cheap, comfortable and importantly, a good find for an affordable bite when out for the night.

I come here regularly for lunch. It’s delicious, great value for money and a great location. The staff are very friendly and prompt without being over-eager. I have had the pad thai, sweet and sour pork and the duck — there’s a wide variety of south east Asian dishes on the menu so you have plenty of options to suit everyone’s taste buds. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every dish I’ve tried and look forward to working my way through all their dishes! I highly recommend for south east asian food fans — go and check it out!

Used to love this place for a quick lunch in the City. Standards have really dropped. Even the staples like pad thai don’t taste authentic anymore. Shame. It was giving the other places like them a run for their money.

I first came to ekachai for a dinner with a friend who was visiting from Singapore. It was pretty much empty, and the seating seemed nice. Big tables, shared by different groups(somewhat like Wagamama) was still a new concept for me. The food is nice. I especially like the«sambal ayam», which is a kind of spicy chicken curry with rice. Tip: They don’t mind replacing the salad with some extra rice which you will surely need if you have as large a tummy as mine … and yes, all dishes come with rice and salad. I feel its rather expensive as a lunch place(8 pounds or so), but for dinner its very reasonable. But i can hardly have dinner there. The place is closed on weekends(why why why). So that pretty much leaves friday nights as the only time when i can enjoy this place. Even the loyalty card is valid only for the evenings. :( Overall, its a nice place to go to if you work in the city and are working late.
