Slug & Lettuce

LLegué a este lugar por una promoción que tienen los lunes. La promoción es que todos los desayunos están a mitad de precio, por lo que terminas pagando unas 3 libras por cada desayuno. Obviamente el que más te convine pedir es el Full English Breakfast, que te incluye café o té.
El lugar está muy bien, la atención en buena, pero la comida no me convenció del todo. Si tienes más presupuesto es mejor buscar otro lugar para desayunar. Ahora si no te quieres quedar con las ganas de probar el desayuno típico inglés y tu salud te permite comerlo, pues venir en lunes a este lugar es una buena opción.
Como tip: No pidas el desayuno con los waffles; no vale tanto la pena como el desayuno completo.

This is one of the best pubs in London. The place is perfect for a beer at the end of the day. I come here almost every Friday and will keep doing it for sure. The staff is really nice and make you feel great. Cosy atmosphere, affordable prices and excellent food. Highly recommend it.

Slug and Lettuce does what it says on the tin. That’s not to say that it serves slugs but it does serve lettuce. Lunch and a glass of wine here is cheap for the area and you’re guaranteed something edible.

This is an OK pub as long as you don’t order food. Slug and Lettuce is such an apt name for the food that they serve here, as it was sluggish in food expectations. We ordered a shared platter called duck pancakes, a Chinese dish usually served with shallots & cucumber slices. The waitress plonked the platter abruptly on the table and casually announced that they ran out of plum sauce and BBQ sauce is the replacement. You wouldn’t mind but who would of assumed BBQ sauce was a suitable replacement — this place did.
We had started talking to the table next to us and the guy said his burger was undercooked and the bun tasted stale — yuck!
Forget this place, it is disgusting. Just enjoy a beer or two or even some cheap wine (they run specials on certain nights).
