Love the other review! While deciding to purchase, the other salesclerks start the schmooze and all of a sudden they all have on the boot you’re checking out, and say they’ll all own the boot too!(I know some of them had shoes on when I came in!) … So true…, as soon as you decide which shoe you want, you get shipped to the counter, where a different clerk/mgr? rings you up and poof! you’re history! They aren’t rude, just calculatingly efficient at selling and closing the sale! I would give them a 5 if they continued to be personable, as good customer service and goodwill is a must. In my opinion, other shoe stores had far more personable sales reps, and one other was absolutely wretched, insensitive and greedy to the max(Duo). In their defense, they had beautiful COMFORTABLE leather boots(Other stores in the Harrod’s area recommended me to go there!); many in long and narrow sizes in stock(Stuart Weitzman 50⁄50 nappa leather stretch boot, 41.5, 42 narrow = US11N) which U.S. rarely carries in stock, and unbelievably the prices were cheaper than U.S. stores, including Zappos even with the credit card conversion fee which runs close to $ 16 on $ 545 boots! I was thrilled with their 28 day return policy, in which you could mail them back through the postal service, if you decided you didn’t like them when you got home. If you have long feet, narrow feet, and/or narrow ankles, and/or narrow calves and want comfort in an equestrian or other leather boot, this is the place to go in London!

I tend to buy shoes indigenous to the cities I visit. In Paris, it’s Weston, in the States, lately it’s been Johnston & Murphy. I purchased one of my favorite, no, my favorite most durable pair of dress shoes here on sale; Down from £275 to £105. Had they not been on sale, I probably would have ventured back into Harrod’s to purchase its similar, albeit lesser constructed, look-a-like. Gotta love sales. Of course, having my feet massaged by the R&B Russian blonde bombshell saleswomen didn’t hinder the sale. Amazing how they turn off the charm as soon as the card goes through, so only 4 stars.

I sometimes check out the shoes in Russell & Bromley, and I recently stepped into this store near Harrods to buy a handbag I had seen in the store window. The staff was shocking; two girls were chatting and doing their best to ignore me. The manager was hovering around the floor, careful to avoid any customer who might require help or service. The queue at the till was ridiculously long. The store inside was in really bad shape, with shoes all over the floor. So I left without my bag. More money to me. And it will be a while before I go back in.
