This is pretty much the fast version of Red Dog saloon next door. I was in the area to run some errands for lunch, and I needed something quickly so I stopped in here. I ordered the Reuben(which can come with either coleslaw or sauerkraut, but of course sauerkraut), some fries and a bottle of water(as you can’t get tap water). Everything tasted fine. The cheese could have been melted better, and it comes on a roll instead of rye bread(which kind of also makes a Reuben a Reuben). I wasn’t super overwhelmed by things, but for a quick lunch in the area, it’s a good place to stop into.

This little sister of the great Red Dog Saloon is not a disappointment. I’ve experienced their food and drinks not too long ago, I was sceptical at first but I must say, it was gooooood!;) They have a range of american sandwiches(duh!) and I can without a doubt recommend the Philly Cheesesteak — nice, soft buns, lot’s of tender meat and cheese(tip:chose mozzarella instead of american cheese!), this serving will leave you fully satisfy! Yum! A part sandwiches, they do wings, fries, all american dogs, tasty burgers and two types of salad. For drinks, you can get some american lagers, which is a nice change from usual London bars. Oh, and milkshakes, they do them too. Price wise is affordable, it start from £6.50(sandwiches, dogs, salads) and go up to £9.95 for burger Punisher(huge one!) and £12 for 12 wings, so basically you can have a lunch or diner for around £10−15 and you’ll be full;) The staff is very friendly and helpful, the interior is in american diner style, overall it was a very good american experience. Definitely coming back to try more of their Red Dogs ‘wiches!;)

The Red Dog family continues to set the bar low for service and quality in the Hoxton Square area. My office is just around the corner from them, and we’re fairly frequent customers because of proximity, and not because they’re anything like a good«American» restaurant. Not only does the food not offer good value for money quickly, a hallmark of an American sandwich shop, they’re also regularly rude. For instance today: I went in, waited 10 minutes for a takeaway order after yet order experience with another employee who doesn’t seem to know how to enter an order or set up the buzzers(he’s not alone – 90% of them don’t seem to be trained). You’d think with 5 people working up front, they would be able to service the ~10 people in the restaurant swiftly, but that is never the case, luckily for the unemployment rate in the area. After getting my sandwich and walking back to the office, I discovered that I had the wrong hot dog. I walked back(~10 minute round trip, and they clearly recognized me) to get the correct sandwich, and not only did they not apologize, but two of them visibly rolled their eyes at me. Only when I was leaving did one person say they were sorry. No refund, no offer, no «hope you’ll return». It’s almost like they don’t care about their customer… because they don’t. I’ll definitely be steering my entire office clear of this place.

I was skeptical. Usually anything labeled American is not really authentic. At least the portion was authentic. Red Dog Reuben Number 1 with coleslaw. And I ordered fries. And a coke. Huge sandwich that was ever so tasty. Fries delicious as well. Next time Im coming with someone else so I can still order fries but share it between us. Sofa king full. The can of coke was a bit off putting. I prefer fountain drinks but thats just me. Definitely coming back to try the hot dogs. I dare you to order The King.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have reviews yet, I have seen so many pictures of it on Instagram! Which is actually the reason I looked it up, saw it wasn’t far from a coffee place I wanted to try in Hoxton and decided to come here for lunch with my boyfriend. Mostly I’ve heard(and seen) good things regarding their sandwiches, burgers, and sides but so far I havent seen anything about their hot dogs. Since we have both been craving American style hot dogs like the kind we are used to in the States we were eager to try their hot dog menu. Boyfriend ordered the«Chicago Style» hot dog and I ordered«Coney Island». Both Bockwurst(pork) and both cost £4.50 eat-in. We were happy with the size and amount of toppings for each of our orders, especially the Chicago Style with the large sliced tomatoes and peppers! The bun was nice and soft, the hot dogs were delicious, and the toppings were perfect. The main thing I want to note was the hot dog was spicy because of the chili(Coney Island) and something in the Chicago Style(celery salt? not sure). I was not expecting the chili on mine to have so much kick but I actually was pleasantly surprised and I think it’s better the chili wasn’t flat. Now I know for next time so it’s not a negative issue — just be aware if you don’t like spicy food at all! Overall, we had a great lunch and have decided this is going to be our go-to for American classics. I can’t wait to bring my British friends here to show them what true American style hot dogs are like!
