3.5 Stars. Conveniently located near Westminster Abbey, the Intercontinental Westminster(where I was staying) and the St James tube station. In fact, this Pret is very close to where most tour buses drop people off. You can’t really tell, but while it appears that there’s no quick lunch available close by Westminster Abbey, this particular Pret is only one block away. The food was average, but docked 1 star for them charging us the wrong price for the meal and giving us incorrect change. I’d like to say it was accidental, but seeing as we were tourists it gives me pause. Good: convenient location Con: Didn’t have all the menu items listed on their website and the add an extra surcharge on the food for eat in versus take away(which is common in London). Watch the pricing and get the correct change back.

Great alternative to expensive hotel breakfast. Loved their porridge for breakfast with berry compote and honey. The hazelnut latte was not my favorite, but I would go back and try something else.

Great fresh food, I love Pret all day. I’ve had many of their sandwiches but now I have a new favorite. The Mozzarella Pesto Bloomer, a two inch think sandwich containing nothing but yumminess. I somehow managed to set it down after a couple of bites and snapped a picture, I hope you don’t mind. Fresh slices of tomato, mozzarella cheese(not the shredded stuff, a thick slice!), fresh basil leaves and shmear of pesto on a whole wheat seeded bread. Heaven! Located in a very convenient location near Victoria Station and Westminster Cathedral, the staff is very efficient at running the tills(«register» in American) getting people in and out quick. Even if there is a queue(«line»), it doesn’t last more than two or three minutes. Pret, Pret, Pret! I wish they could take off like this in the States, it puts Subway and even Quiznos to shame.

I must have eaten the Fresh Basil, Tomato and Mozzarella baguette from here once a day on a recent trip to London. It was that good. Nothing that I couldn’t make at home, but damn it was a great on-the-go snack! Highly recommended!

It is not that often but occasionally I need to meet people before work and often it is hard to find a coffee shop that is open before 8am. Prêt as we all know produce delicious ready to go croissants, sandwiches, wraps, salads and sushi. I find the salads perfect for a light lunch, a range of different protein choices, salmon, tuna and chicken. But a key seller is the coffee. Unlike Starbucks whom I find make very weak cappuccinos and latte’s, prêt coffee is very strong and a definite pick-me-up in the morning! We had an early meeting this morning, and to my surprise it was fill of likeminded individuals either in business discussions or having their breakfast and reading the paper before work. It is well heated which is necessary at the moment as it is so cold! Seating is great and not cramped with a mixture of sofa benches, tables and chairs.
