Visited Panchetto one lunchtime at the end of January 2011. The weather was freezing outside and it could have done to be slightly warmer in the restaurant. That said, the food and service were very good; portions were excellent, too. Testimony to the value for money was the number of workmen, from the nearby, major building works, eating there — always a good sign.

This used to be called Café Mezzo, and I have been using it as the company canteen for the last 3 years. I now get the impression that it is under new management with a new name. It is fair to say that I have never eaten here in the evening, but have often popped in at the weekend when in Covent Garden. The food is consistenly good, I would favour the panini and ciabatta, tune melt or mozerella and sun dried tomoato — which always comes with a side salad and some crisps. On my last visit the crisps had been replaced by a handful of chips — in my opinion not nessacerily a good sign! However if I am to compare against the average café in town this is streets ahead and very good value.
