I’ve never written a review on Unilocal before, but I decided that I would warn everybody about this store. When I was there last year I wanted to purchase a Chanel bag from their designer collection. A salesperson told us the hefty price, we agreed and they ran our credit card. Simultaneously the other salesperson skyped the owner of the store, who refused to show us his face but instead starting screaming at the employees, told them to cancel the transaction right away(which in fear they did) and to tell us the actual price was 1500 pounds MORE than what they ALREADYSOLDITTOUSFOR! After a long argument we just paid for the new price(we really wanted it) and left. Fast forward a year to when I get the purse cleaned and GUESSWHAT, turns out the purse is FAKE!!! I live in Los Angeles so I took it to an expert, and yes they sold us a fake chanel purse for 3700 pounds. DONOTSHOPHEREWHAT A SCAM!!!

This is a sensational second hand store on the popular Portobello Road. Due to the expensive nature of the clothes in the shop(genuine gems from the 1940’s and 50’s, intricate, delicate dresses), there is a buzzer system on the door which prevents any stealing. It does feel a bit like you’re entering a club you don’t quite belong in, but once you see the stock you understand. I recently sold them a loot of vintage clothes(inherited but sadly too big and not alterable), if you have good quality vintage stuff they’ll buy it from you, though you have to watch the clothes expert scrutinise your items, which made me feel like a protective parent! I was offered a decent amount of money, or amazing shop vouchers. Very exciting stuff! If you’re feeling flush, or have a really special occasion to dress for, pop in and see. And if you’ve got some old gems lying around, why not swap them for some cash!

One of A Kind is my favourite vintage store on Portobello Road. And Notting Hill. Actually, it’s one of my favourite vintage stores in town. Sure, the doorbell system is a bit wanky, but with clothes like this, it’s easy to see why they need to monitor who comes in and out. The shop is tiny — but they have packed it with more stuff than you could believe could fit in such a small space. It’s got an absolutely superb range of vintage things — from 1920s sequinned flapper dresses to some phenomenal 80s snakeskin boots. Sure, it’s pretty expensive but some places have to be, right? Last time I was here, Kate Moss was also browsing. Only difference was she could afford to buy things, whereas I could not!

I went here during my weekly voyage to the Portobello market this weekend. From the outside it seems to be a real treat; photos of past customers Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Victoria Beckham etc cover the windows, and there is a doorbell system on the door which means you cant just stroll in from the street. After a five minute wait outside in the freezing cold we were eventually let in to what is essentially a small room with women’s apparel and another tiny room behind it with menswear. The clothes are amazing quality and not just reams of eighties gear like you find in the market, there are some lovely 1940s and ‘50s pieces here. It is so expensive though, the bag and dress that I liked were each £150 so i swiftly made me way to the door. Its expensive but if you needed something really special this is a good place to go.

If you love to shop till you drop with the stars then head to West London âOne Of A Kindâ. The vintage store in the heart of London Portobello market is a favourite with fashionistas like Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Sienna Miller. Step inside the Aladdin cave of couture and be prepared to spend at least an hour wading through fabulous finds from Dior, Chanel, Tom Ford and Steel McCartney and many many more. The Christmas party season is fast approaching so make sure you do not commit the ultimate fashion faux pas of wearing the same outfit as someone else. Oh the shame of seeing someone in the dress you have recently bought! Don’t worry One of a Kindâ guarantees you will be the belle of the ball in stunning vintage. You might even rub shoulders with the A-list while you are rifling through the rails.

One of a Kind is a tiny little shop in London’s trendy Notting Hill. I went expecting to pick up some vintage goodies but found that most things were over priced. The shop stocked brands such as vintage D&G, Gina Shoes, Westwood and Channel and also various other one off pieces that were very over priced and that you could pick uo in Rokit for half the price. I saw lots of lovely pieces that i would have loved to have buy but didn’t ahve the budget. a great shop to go and have a nose around if your a vintage clothing fan, but take your credit card ! This shop is a favorite of Kate Moss and stylits for Vogue, Wallpaper/The face/ID magazine and i have often seen celebs coming out of there. The staff can be a little unfriendly, but most shops like this in london has uninterested and snobby staff. I real must if you love fashion and want to find a one off piece.

A real treasure trove in the heart of london! The first thing you notice is the huge array of pictures of celebrities — the likes of Kate Moss, Madonna, Victoria Beckham etc. — who have all visited this shop. And following this, looking at the stock, you see why. Unique and beautiful dresses chanel bags to die for and a secret room with hidden special pieces which nearly made me faint with excitement. Go when a big occaision requires that perfect outfit, and the payslip’s just come in, because the prices are high!
